You just don’t see TR6s for restoration like this. The previous owner, who sold us the car this week, purchased the car in 1976. We have the paperwork documenting that sale. A great year (1974), with great provenance, and with an overdrive transmission, this is the perfect car to redo. As far as rust, the car is actually very solid with the exception of the left rear fender, which is terribly rusty. The original floors are good, the rockers are good, the frame is good (with the exception of the typical rear suspension mount rust). All of the rust on the car has been photographed in detail. We just got the car home yesterday, and the motor is stuck at the moment. We put penetrating oil in the cylinders, so we will see on that front. A fabulous, and fairly straightforward car to restore.
