You always hear you should never trust a used care salesman. They are usually shady, untrustworthy, and every other negative cliche. Mr. Letourneau is probably the worst of all used car salesmen and matches every negative clich?© there is to date. I`m a college student, who works two jobs, and recently lost the only car I had ever owned since I was 16. In desperate need of a car I went searching around for an affordab... view morele used car. I stumbled upon Letourneau Motors. Living in Salem NH it was about an hour drive for me. I found a Dodge through him for $2,100. I was satisfied with the car after he hooked it up to a diagnostics computer, I took it for a test drive, and I looked over the car. This was on a Friday, and I told Mr. Letourneau that I would be paying cash for the vehicle and was hoping to pick it up that Tuesday. He told me I would have to put a $100 deposit to hold the vehicle until then. He also told me that he would provide an inspection sticker and the car would be all set to pick up on Tuesday. Tuesday comes, when I received my paycheck and my student loan disbursement, I called Mr. Letourneau to tell him I would be there at 4pm to pick up the vehicle. This is when he informed me that he would be unable to get an inspection sticker for the car until after I registered it. Setting off my frustration I reminded him that when he was trying to make the sale he told me Tuesday it would have a sticker, never mentioning I would have to register it first. So I then ask if he could just take $50 off the price and I could get it inspected through a local mechanic in Salem, NH where I live. Mr. Letourneau than tells me he would not be willing to do that because people who inspect vehicles lie and make stuff up. They would fail the cars inspection. Setting off a huge red flag, I informed him that if his car would pass inspection through HIS mechanic than it should pass inspection through ANY licensed NH inspection place. I then told him that if I still decided to get the vehicle I would like to take it to a different garage to look over the car, if there was something wrong with it then I would like to return the car. He was irate at this point in the conversation and informed me that he doesnt play that game. He then said if you dont want the car then you can head down and pick up my $100 deposit. When I drove an hour to get my deposit he wasn`t there. Finally after 3 days of avoiding me he finally answered my calls. He told me that he did an alignment that was needed for the vehicle that ended up costing him $290 dollars. Then he told me that made us even for the $100 deposit. I told him thats not my problem that the car needed an alignment. The irate Mr. Letourneau then told me ?ˆ?I will just have to see you in court then.?ˆ? Im so beyond mad, and in court IS where he will see him. I will be filing paperwork to take him to small claims court.
