1987 Buick Grand National Original 15k Miles Show Winner No Reserve on 2040-cars
Street, Maryland, United States
NO RESERVE AUCTION…
If you are looking at this car you already know all about these bad ass cars of the 80's. Low mileage examples of these cars are getting harder and harder to find. I am the third owner. Came from an estate sale and I have THE original title from the original owner. It was repainted 4 years ago with a high dollar paint job. Car went from CT to IL now in MD. NEVER IN RAIN. ALWAYS stored in heated garage. The car was Ziebart and undercoated from day 1 NO rust or rot. I installed 4 new bilstein shocks and new catalytic convertor. Someone put the wrong freon in the AC system. I replace the AC parts, with NOS parts, flushed the system and filled the AC system with REAL R12. Nice and cold AC. Interior is perfect as well as the headliner. I did install a AC/DELCO CD player with plug and play harness. Have ALL original parts and radio. Power antenna works perfect. NO ENGINE MODS 100% stock. I also have the ORIGINAL STOCK WHEELS AND TIRES. Only thing this car needs is new weather stripping around the drivers window, I have these parts. I have this car insured with Grundy for $263 a year with a agreed value of $35,000. Back in September 2013 I entered this car into a Mid Atlantic Buick Grand National Association show. Approx. 75 Buicks were there. This car won the award of excellence for the show. The judges were absolutely thrilled about this car. I have a daughter getting ready for college in the fall and this toy must go. Get ready to turn some heads in the spring with this rocket. |

Buick shows US dealers 2016 Cascada convertible
Wed, 20 Aug 2014The affordable four-seat convertible has become a largely forgotten genre in the States, especially with the death of the Chrysler 200 Convertible. Of course, there are still premium options from Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz - not to mention more overtly performance-oriented droptop pony cars from Chevrolet and Ford - but if you want an affordable cruiser, you're kind of out of luck. That may be about to change, however, with renewed rumors of the Opel Cascada (pictured above) making it across the Atlantic wearing a Buick badge.
According to GM Inside News, Buick showed off the Cascada to US dealers last week, with renewed word that the company plans to bring it over from Europe for the 2016 model year. The US version will reportedly be practically identical to its German cousin in terms of styling, but the powertrain underneath is less certain. According to GMI, it may use the 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that is available in Europe with either 168 horsepower or 197 hp.
The Cascada rides on GM's Delta II platform, which also underpins the Verano, and the latest rumor certainly provides even more evidence that the convertible is probably on the way. Speculation about the droptop started when GM CEO Dan Akerson said last year that the car was on his wish list to bring over. Then, the US trademark on the name was reserved earlier this year, and the release was speculated for sometime in early 2016.
Buick to add more GS models?
Fri, 29 Nov 2013Buick may not be the first name that comes to mind when you think of performance automobiles, but fans of the brand know what letters to look for. If you believe the reports, there's a new GNX and Grand National on the way, but in the meantime, Buick may offer more GS models to fill the void.
Currently, the Regal is the only model available as a GS (pictured above), packing the same 259-horsepower turbo four as the Regal Turbo but enhanced with key suspension, brakes and rolling-stock upgrades. As Car and Driver notes, similar upgrades could easily be applied to the Verano and LaCrosse, although maybe not the Encore or Enclave crossovers. Of course, Buick would still have to steer clear of Cadillac's Vsport line, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have a little room to play.
GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
