1970 BUICK SKYLARK 4 DR. BOUGHT IT FROM THE 2ND OWNER. STARTS, RUNS, DRIVES, SHIFTS AND STOPS. VERY LITTLE RUST ON THIS SOUTHERN GRANDMA'S CAR. REPAINTED IN EARLY 80'S TO WHITE FROM A BAMBOO CREAM. HELD UP NICELY. FLOORS ARE EXCELLENT AND TRUNK ON DRIVERS SIDE HAS A SMALL BAD SPOT. ORIGINAL MAT AND JACK ARE STILL IN THE TRUNK. 350 2 BARREL THAT SOUNDS NICE. A/C CAR BUT NO COMPRESSOR. AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION RECENTLY SERVICED BY AAMCO. SHIFTS NICE AND SMOOTH. POWER DRUM BRAKES. POWER STEERING. 14X6 BUICK RALLY WHEELS WITH CAPS AND B.F. GOODRICH TIRES THAT LOOK NEW. EXHAUST ISNT THE BEST. THIS WOULD BE AN EXCELLENT AND CHEAP REPLACEMENT FOR THOSE OVERPRICED 2 DOOR SKYLARKS. GET IN WITH ALL YOUR BUDDIES AND GO. AFTER MARKET SOUND SYSTEM PLAYS NICE. NO CRACKS IN DASH PAD. ORIGINAL FLOOR MATS. ALL WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN NICELY. ALL DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE LIKE NEW EXCEPT HAVING TROUBLE OPENING PASSENGER REAR DOOR. WILL TINKER WITH IT. BUMPERS ARE NICE. TAIL LIGHTS ARE NICE. COUPLE DINGS IN THE WHEEL WELL TRIM BUT STILL LOOK NICE. I DROVE IT AROUND AND IT WILL NEED FRONT BEARINGS REPLACED. MAYBE BRAKE SHOES AS WELL. Small number of 2013 Buick Encore models recalled for loose steering wheel
Thu, 04 Apr 2013General Motors has issued a recall and a stop sale for the 2013 Buick Encore due to an issue that could result in the steering wheel falling off on certain models. In a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, GM says that 144 Encores equipped with heated steering wheels could have been incorrectly retrofitted due to a parts shortage.
Needless to say, a loose or separated steering wheel would likely cause an accident if it happened while the vehicle was in motion. The recall doesn't go into effect until April 12, but concerned Encore owners can use the official recall notice (attached below) to contact GM.
2015 Buick Verano offered with six-speed manual after all

Buick got in touch with us to correct some information that it had mistakenly announced; namely, that the 2015 Verano will lose its optional six-speed manual transmission. Apparently, that announcement was incorrect, and the compact sedan will indeed continue to offer a manual option for 2015, despite what we're certain is a low take rate. Additionally, the Desert Dusk Metallic paint that was said to come as part of an Appearance Package is no longer part of the deal. GM mulling Chevy Cruze hatchback for US, Buick 'Panamera' among other new models
Fri, 08 Nov 2013We've spoken at length previously about the fallacy of poor hatchback sales in the US, and with the runaway success of its Chevrolet Cruze sedan, it's somewhat unsurprising to hear that General Motors is rethinking its decision not to sell an overseas five-door variant in North America as it looks to plug a number of holes in its lineup. GM North American President Mark Reuss admitted during a media luncheon this week that not offering the model "... was a pre-bankruptcy planning mistake," says Forbes. With the next-generation model already well-along in development, it's likely that the current Cruze hatch (shown above) won't see US dealers.

In what must have been a far-reaching conversation, Reuss hinted at a number of new products for many GM brands, including "a much more beautiful Panamera" range-topper for Buick (which sounds a bit like the line of reasoning the TriShield brand has been pursuing with its Riviera concepts) and a "Ford Transit Connect-fighter" to supplant the recently announced badge-engineered Chevy City Express from Nissan.
