You are bidding on a 1969 c10 shortbed with patina.
This truck retains the patina/rough around the edges exterior but had a bunch of money invested in upgrades.there is cracking of paint on the roof, it sees direct sun and being that it's over 40 years old it has worn the most.the other areas show various wear associated from the elements over the course of time since 1969.the pictures show that it is overall very straight minus a few minor dents here and there. it now is far more practical for longer drives/daily driving .This truck came with a 307/3 speed manual on the column  .It has been replaced/ upgraded with a gm performance crate 350 motor along with a 700r4 overdrive automatic transmission. the 700r4 is run through the original factory column/shifter.i purchased a special kit to be able to do so.
almost everything under the hood is new, all new aftermarket radiator with superior cooling capacity vs stock, new water pump, hedman headers, edelbrock 600cfm carb

the stance was achieved through early classic enterprises 4.5/6" drop kit, along with their front power disc  brake kit. this is a HUGE upgrade over drum brakes. also required a different mount for the 700r4.truck also has their 5 lug conversion along with new rear axles.these trucks were 6 lug and to run a nice 5 lug wheel you will need to have 5 lug These parts were around $2,500

brand new 20" wheels /tires, these were close to $2, 000

has new custom 1 piece driveshaft, brand new gas tank, sending unit, dual 2.5" exhaust with flowmaster mufflers, brand new chrome bumpers.

this truck is really cool/unique as is, but has all the hard stuff done. if you want a finished show truck you could do the body work/paint and redo the seat and have a $22, 000-$25, 000 truck, all just depends on what you want to do.

General Motors shaking up its marketing... again

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")

Chevy gets cracking on Cruze EV fleet testing

Chevrolet Cruze EV - Click above for high-res image gallery
The Chevrolet Volt hasn't yet gone on sale, but General Motors is looking at ways of expanding its electric vehicle lineup. Chevy, along with partner LG, is employing a group of all-electric cars in the form of the Cruze. The sedans are part of a demonstration fleet which is located in Seoul, South Korea and is being used to provide data in an electric vehicle research project. The goal is to gather information on driving patterns and charging behavior in addition to consumer acceptance.
The Cruze EVs, along with some Daewoo Lacetti Premieres EVs, are the first fleet of full-size electric vehicles and should provide invaluable information for The General. Staying full-size means not sacrificing cargo space, so the battery pack is mounted to the underbody, leaving the trunk area open for plenty recyclable, canvas grocery bags.

Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica

Fri, 03 Aug 2012

If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.
