1985 Chevy Silverado Truck Short Wheel Base Swb 350 Auto 2wd on 2040-cars
Stearns, Kentucky, United States
Up for auction is a 1985 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck short wheel base two wheel drive. Dash shows 23000, front of title shows 180K. It has nice paint and no rust. I would say 6.5 out of 10. It is not a show truck but would make nice driver. It has a 2 inch steel cowl hood. It has I believe to be a 350 engine with an edelbrock intake and 600 Holley carburetor with a 350 turbo trans. It starts and runs and drives good. It runs a little rich at idle, but I have never tried to adjust the carb, cause it starts and runs good. Engine sounds good and the transmission shifts good. It has a crack in the windshield and needs a dash pad or cover. Otherwise the interior is in good shape. It has power windows and locks, the passenger window works very slow. The tires are wore and would need replacing if driven daily. The cab corners have been replaced and they did a pretty good job. The paint needs wet sanded and buffed to be extra slick. I have taken lots of pics to show the truck from every angle. Email with any questions, thank for looking. TN residents will have to pay TN sales tax on purchase price, because I am a TN car dealer. Has a clean clear KY title. |

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit
Tue, 15 Jan 2013There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.

Watch how Corvette Racing's new collision-avoidance radar system works
Fri, 22 Mar 2013When it comes to technology used in racecars, we generally expect it to trickle down to production cars, not the other way around. Well, Pratt & Miller has developed a new rear-facing radar that operates in a similar fashion to what we're used to in modern blind spot detection systems, only it is also capable of tracking cars as they approach and relaying vital information to the driver via a large display screen.
The innovative radar system debuted at last weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring for Corvette Racing, and this system makes perfect sense for endurance races like this since the cars sometimes have to drive through the night and in poor weather conditions.
The radar can detect cars even with poor visibility, and uses easy-to-distinguish symbols for the driver to identify.
