1967 PRO-STREET CAMARO You are viewing a rotisserie restored 1967 Pro-Street Camaro. This Camaro has won 1st in class at Super Chevy and won the ESPN II Award at the same show. This Camaro was also featured by none other than “BIG DADDY DON GARLITS” on ESPN TV and it was in Super Chevy Magazine.

Body: The body on this stunning Camaro has gone through a rotisserie restoration using all NOS sheet metal. It is arrow straight and has a stunning 2-stage Porsche Red paint job with Chrome Illusion Ghost Flames. These flames flip flop back and forth from blue to purple as you can see in the photos.  The finish on this paint is spectacular to say the least.  All of the chrome pieces and stainless trim are polished and look like new.  The underneath of this body is painted in the Porsche Red   and the finish is just as nice as the exterior of the car. This body has been fully tubbed to fit the huge Mickey Thompson tires mounted on 15x15 Centerline wheels. The front wheels are polished aluminum with Bridgestone Potenza Tires. All of the glass is tinted. This Camaro is equipped with a rear spoiler and the door handles have been shaved. The doors are opened with door poppers. Up front is the RS hide-away headlights which are electrically operated. This Camaro no longer has the exterior gas fill. It now has an 18 gallon polished aluminum fuel cell in the finished trunk with a high volume electric fuel pump and filter mounted just under the rear of the car. This Camaro is also equipped with an inside/outside electrical shut offs.

Interior: The Light Cr?me colored leather interior was installed new at the time of the restoration. The dash is custom built and home to a full set of Auto-Meter Pro Comp gauges. The console is also custom upholstered with embossed flames to match the door panels. This interior is equipped with a tilt chrome steering column, custom leather wrapped billet steering wheel, 4-wheel power Wilwood disc brakes, Turbo 400 transmission with a B&M shifter and 3500 stall converter. The roll cage is fully certified and integrated into a full frame. The cage is painted in the same Chrome Illusion paint as the ghost flames. You will also notice the billet arm rests and door handles. The final piece of this interior are the 5 point AJS safety harnesses. In the trunk you will find the rear mounted dry cell battery.

Drive Train: Under the hood of this Camaro is a spectacular engine compartment that is home to a HIGH PERFORMANCE Chevrolet 427 big block engine. This engine is equipped with Hi-Pertech pistons, Eagle H-Beam Titanium Rods, Canfield rectangular aluminum heads, roller rockers, 4340 forged steel crank, polished aluminum intake, 750cfm Edlebrock carb., jet coated headers, 3” jet coated Spintech exhaust exiting just before the rear tires and a Mallory ignition system. A Custom California Aluminum radiator with dual electric fans keeps this monster big block running cool. This engine compartment is very nice with the smoothed firewall, Porsche red painted wheel wells and radiator support. The transmission is the aforementioned Turbo 400 and the rear differential is a bullet proof Fab 9 Ford unit with 3:70 gears and QA 1 adjustable coil over shocks. Suspension: The front suspension is set up with chrome lower a-frames, chrome tubular upper a-frames and QA 1 adjustable coil over shocks. The rear suspension is a 4 link set up with QA 1 coil over adjustable shocks. This rear is also set up with a chrome set of wheelie bars which go with the car. Wilwood disc brakes and stainless steel brake lines run throughout the brake system. This incredible Camaro is being sold for less than the build parts cost.

GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.

Chevrolet Camaros at SEMA are a mobile accessory catalog

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

Chevy's goal at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas this week seems to be to show as much of its Performance and Accessories catalog as possible. That's why it brought three different Camaros - two with V8s and one powered by a V6 - with all of the best goodies from the catalog already fitted.
We gave a more in-depth recap of the Performance Camaro V8 Concept, the Performance Camaro V6 Concept and the Performance Garage Concept already, but we figured you'd like a short recap for each. It should be noted, though, that you can order all of the items you see here for your own Camaro, so be sure to take a long, hard look at our live galleries, just in case you're in the market for some mods.
Essentially, the Performance Garage Concept and the Performance V8 Concept are the same car - the only difference is that the later features a whole host of aesthetic tweaks in addition to its aftermarket, shorty exhaust headers and 2.75-inch exhaust. (The Performance Garage Concept has been usefully placed on its side; the better to see the new parts added to the vehicle.) The Performance V6 Concept is notable because, despite being a V6, there's no shortage of performance goodies fitted. All three of the Performance Camaros benefit from items from the Camaro ZL1, which can also be ordered through the catalog.

Pics Aplenty: Meet the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra [w/poll]

Thu, 13 Dec 2012

Today was a pretty big day for General Motors, debuting the all-new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra light-duty pickup trucks ahead of their official showcase at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. And now that the dust has settled at GM's big reveal event, we've had a chance to snap dozens of photos of the new pickup pair from every angle.
We already told you the important bits earlier today (click here in case you missed it), but let's recap. Under the hood are three new engines - a 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 (you know, a version of the small-block that'll also be found under the hood of the C7 Corvette), all mated to six-speed automatic transmissions. The 2014 model year marks the return of the Z71 off-road package with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and beefier underbody protection. Inside, there's a host of new technology and a greater focus on better quality and refinement.
Some of the nitty-gritty specifics (like engine output numbers and fuel economy) have yet to be revealed, and since we haven't driven the finished products yet, it's hard to say how these trucks will fare against rivals like the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150. For now, we can only judge these two books by their covers, and while we do like the designs of the new trucks, we Autoblog staffers are torn on exactly which one looks best.
