OK, I'M GOING TO BE MORE HONEST THAN THE GUY I BOUGHT FROM ON EBAY WAS WITH ME. 1976 EL CAMINO WITH 350 AND 350 TRANS. BOTH RUN GREAT. BLUE WITH BLACK BENCH SEAT INTERIOR. THE BENCH SEAT IS NICE. 16 INCH CAMARO RIMS WITH SHOT TIRES. HEADERS ALUMINUM INTAKE AVS 625 COMP CARB WITH ELECTRIC CHOKE. DUAL EXHAUST RUSTY BUT STILL QUIET. 12 BOLT REAR END. THE BAD IS FLOOR PANS, BED AND THE SMUGGLERS BOX ALL ROTTED AWAY. WAS TOLD IT WAS IN STORAGE FOR 12 YEARS , MOST LIKELY STORED UNDER A TREE IN THE BACK YARD. FRONT CLIP LOOKS FINE AND THE BEDSIDES WAS TOLD HAD BEEN REPLACED. TAILGATE LOOKS GOOD FROM OUTSIDE BUT HAS A RUST HOLE INSIDE. WHEN I GOT THE CAR IT HAD A NON-CHOKE CARB ON IT. I PUT THE COMP CARB ON IT WITH ELECTRIC CHOKE. FIRED UP PURRED LIKE A KITTEN UNTIL THE RUST FROM THE GAS TANK STOP FLOWING. PUT ON NEW FUEL PUMP AND FILTER, PULLED THE GAS TANK OUT. I BOUGHT A NEW TANK AND SENDING UNIT BUT HAVE NOT INSTALLED BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT OF RUST UNDERNEATH . THIS I FEEL IS MORE WORK THAN I CAN DO.THIS EL CAMINO CAN INTERCHANGE WITH 1973-1977 AND CHEVELLES. I BOUGHT NEW FRONT AND REAR FLOOR PANS- MADE IN THE USA 420.00 AND NEW TANK AND SENDING UNIT- ANOTHER 300.00 BUCKS. I HAVE RUST FREE DOORS AND RUST FREE TAILGATE AND FRONT FLOOR PAN BRACE THAT IF YOU WANT WILL BE SOLD AT AN EXTRA PRICE, FROM SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. I STARTED CUTTING OUT THE FLOORS AND BED TOP, AND STOPPED. NO BROKEN WINDOWS. IT HAS AN OPEN TITLE FROM DELAWARE.FROM THE OUTSIDE THE CAR DOESN'T LOOK BAD AT ALL, WAS REPAINTED SOMETIME IN EARLY 2000'S BY MACCO. THE TRANSMISSION WAS REBUILT ABOUT THE SAME TIME. CAR ROLLS GREAT. THIS IS HOW THIS IS GOING TO GO. IF THE PRICE GOES ABOVE THE THE COST OF THE TANK , SENDING UNIT AND FLOOR PAN COST I WILL INCLUDE THEM WITH THE CAR 720.00 IF IT GOES BELOW THAT AMOUNT ITS JUST THE CAR. DOORS TAILGATE AND FLOOR BRACE WILL ALSO GO FOR AN EXTRA PRICE. WILL SELL THE DOORS FOR 400.00 FOR SET AND TAILGATE FOR 100.00 AND THE FRONT FLOOR BRACE FOR 75.00. I ALSO HAVE 4 BRAND NEW TIRES FOR AN EXTRA COST OF 300.00. I WILL NOT SHIP, AS IS WHERE IS. IF YOU WANT TO SHIP YOU CAN SET UP. THE EL CAMINO BY ITSELF WILL GO AT NO RESERVE, NO NEW PARTS WILL GO. IF YOUR IN THE AREA I'M HALFWAY BETWEEN TOLEDO AND CLEVELAND, COME TAKE A LOOK. IF THE PRICE GOES ABOVE 720.00 I WILL INCLUDE THE PANS AND TANK AND SENDING UNIT. ASK QUESTIONS, DON'T BID UNLESS YOU PLAN TO BUY. AS SOON AS YOU WIN I EXPECT AN E-MAIL FROM YOU. I WILL ACCEPT PAY PAL FOR ENTIRE PAYMENT OR CASH. I AM IN OHIO ZIP 44811. THE CAR IS STORED IN MY GARAGE OUT OF THE ELEMENTS FOR NOW AND WILL ONLY STORE FOR A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME BEFORE I EXPECT IT TO BE PICKED UP. IT COST ME 1600 TO BY AND SHIP CAR AND ANOTHER 1050 TO BUY AND HAVE SHIPPED THE DOORS , BRACE, AND TAILGATE FROM CALIFORNIA. SHOOT ME A DECENT OFFER AND I WILL LOAD EVERYTHING UP IN THE CAR AND YOU CAN PICK IT UP OR SHIP CAR WITH ALL THE SWEET PARTS I BOUGHT. Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own
Tue, 22 Jan 2013It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.

Autoblog Podcast #327:
GM profits threatened by glut of pickups
Wed, 05 Dec 2012Automotive News reports that General Motors may slash production or ramp up discounts in order to deal with an oversupply of pickup trucks. GM currently has more than double the standard supply of pickups, and the vehicles are threatening to dampen the automaker's profits for 2013. Typically, automakers try to sustain a 60- to 75-day supply of vehicles, but GM is currently loaded with a 139-day supply, as of last month. At the end of November, the automaker was sitting on 245,853 units.
The manufacturer says that it will adjust production accordingly before laying any incentives on the profitable pickups. Even so, there's some concern that the inventory swell could hurt the roll-out of the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. GM actually began slowly stepping back production in August, but it's clear the company will take further action as it heads toward the end of the year and into the next. Analysts predict the automaker could reduce pickup manufacturing by nearly half in the first quarter of 2013.
That still may not be enough to keep GM from laying extra cash on the Silverado and GMC Sierra. While the company's incentive spending was down in November compared to the same month in 2011, both the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150 saw double-digit percentage increases in sales last month while the Silverado and Sierra numbers slid compared to a year prior. Incentive spending could help move more trucks and add some balance to the GM inventory surge.
