If you are looking for a frame off rotisserie restored real SS then turn back now! How ever if you can appreciate a nice driver quality SS clone and don't want to break your bank account then this may be the car for you!

Up for auction is an awesome looking 1967 Chevy II . I acquired this little deuce on trade a few weeks ago. It belonged to the same owner for the last aprox 18 years. The car was restored from the ground up aprox 15 years ago. It has been garage kept and driven very little and still shows well.

This car has a very straight body. The floor pans, trunk, shock towers, body etc is very solid.

The paint is slick and straight but is not flawless show quality but is what I consider to be well above driver quality. I would rate the paint a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10 with a 10 being perfect. All of the glass, stainless chrome etc was all replaced new during resto and still remains in very good condition. The car is accented nicely with new 17 inch chrome American racing wheels with new tires.

The interior is clean through out and still shows good. The driver seat shows some wear and the dash pad has a small crack in it.

This Chevy II has a non matching 327 engine with aluminum intake 4 barrel carb correct exhaust manifolds. It sounds good and runs smooth no problems. It is mated to a turbo 350 automatic transmission that goes through all of the gears excellent and a stock 10 bolt rear end geared at aprox 3:55 This car runs and drives excellent and hits the road awesome with no known problem!! The drive train has aprox 20,000 miles since rebuild. It has recently had a fresh tune up aluminized exhaust etc.

Next-gen Chevy Cruze caught cruising in the cold

Wed, 13 Feb 2013

Spy photographers have caught what looks like the next-generation Chevrolet Cruze out on snow patrol. The camo could be tricking our eyes, but it look like it has an even tidier, more rounded front end and even lower fenders in relation to the top of the hood. And either a chunk of camo has been wedged between the side mirrors and the doors, or the mirrors are up for revision, too.
The door handles have been moved up the side of the car, leading the way to a rear end that grows a bit in length. If the rumors are true, the coming second-generation Cruze sits on the new D2XX platform that will replace the Delta and Theta platforms at General Motors. A global architecture, the Cruze will be the first to get it, but it will underpin everything from next Chevrolet Volt to the Equinox and could be responsible for 2.5 million units by 2018. The next Cruze is expected to begin production in GM's Lordstown, Ohio plant in the third quarter of 2014.

Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

Sun, 01 Dec 2013

The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.
