Awesome 1967 Chevy Nova 2-dr Post-super Clean Car on 2040-cars

Year:1967 Mileage:0
Location:

Bakersfield, California, United States

Bakersfield, California, United States

I bought this clean 1967 Chevy II Nova 2-door post sedan in 1993 and have owned it ever since. It was my daily driver for a few years and has been stored ever since. The body is straight and has no rust. This is a California car with a clear clean title with current California non-op registration (I hold the pink slip). I pulled the in line 6 engine and power glide transmission and recently installed a 350 4 bolt main with 350 transmission, the engine currently does not have a carburetor and is not turn key ready but in installed as is the transmission (3 on the tree). The drive line is also not connected but does come with the vehicle.  I have several extra parts (radiator, fan etc…)  I planned on restoring this beautiful Nova but just don't have time or patience to do so.  I hate to sell it but can't store it anymore.  This is better than a barn find and my loss is truely your gain. I pulled the entire interior out to clean it last year and just threw it back in for pictures, so the seats/carpet etc... are not bolted down (as seen in the pictures) but I have all of the hardware. Vehicle has all original glass and emblems and original Marina blue paint in and out. The paint on the outside is faded and oxidized.  The paint on the inside is still in very good condition, the driver's side interior door panel will need paint. You'd be hard pressed to find a better/ cleaner rust free Chevy II Nova 2-dr post at my reserve price point.   Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and must contact me at the end of auction. Must be paid in full within 7 days of auction close. I accept CASH and I reserve the right to end this auction early, as this Nova is for sale locally as well. I have done my best to accurately depict this Nova.  This vehicle is sold as is with no warranty implied or expressed. If you have any questions feel free to contact me, at 661-587-9477 or 661-340-1659, good luck and happy bidding!

Chevrolet Camaros at SEMA are a mobile accessory catalog

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

Chevy's goal at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas this week seems to be to show as much of its Performance and Accessories catalog as possible. That's why it brought three different Camaros - two with V8s and one powered by a V6 - with all of the best goodies from the catalog already fitted.
We gave a more in-depth recap of the Performance Camaro V8 Concept, the Performance Camaro V6 Concept and the Performance Garage Concept already, but we figured you'd like a short recap for each. It should be noted, though, that you can order all of the items you see here for your own Camaro, so be sure to take a long, hard look at our live galleries, just in case you're in the market for some mods.
Essentially, the Performance Garage Concept and the Performance V8 Concept are the same car - the only difference is that the later features a whole host of aesthetic tweaks in addition to its aftermarket, shorty exhaust headers and 2.75-inch exhaust. (The Performance Garage Concept has been usefully placed on its side; the better to see the new parts added to the vehicle.) The Performance V6 Concept is notable because, despite being a V6, there's no shortage of performance goodies fitted. All three of the Performance Camaros benefit from items from the Camaro ZL1, which can also be ordered through the catalog.

GM says hybrid Corvette no laughing matter [w/poll]

Fri, 30 Aug 2013

When Mark Reuss was in LA recently, he sat down to have a few words with the scribes at the Los Angeles Times. When the issue of a hybrid Corvette came up, Reuss answered with "Don't laugh." The General Motors president is a complete fan of the possibility, calling it "attractive" and "really fun," believing it would improve GM expertise and that "people would love it."
Naturally, the president being supportive of an idea doesn't give indication that a hybrid Corvette is on the way. However, with supercars like the Porsche 918 Spyder and Ferrari LaFerrari giving hybrid tech a solid, if remote, place in the performance car world, the inexorable trickle-down of technology means we shouldn't be surprised if and when it does happen.
And now that we have that non-negative half-answer to a speculative question, it would be irresponsible for us not to commence rumormilling for the C8 Corvette. Taking Reuss at his word, the C8 will obviously be a hybrid with all-wheel-drive - the left side wheels driven with electric motors, the right side with the mid-mounted, four-cylinder diesel engine. With coefficient of drag of just .16, figure on a 0-to-60 mile-per-hour time of under 2 seconds and an all-electric range of something like 30 miles at top speed. Don't forget, folks, you read it here first.
