1969 Dodge Charger on 2040-cars
Kaysville, Utah, United States
I have owned this car for five years. I am not interested in a trade. The previous owner had rebuilt the engine and transmission and also had the car painted. The motor is a 383 Magnum and the transmission is fully manual automatic 727 torque flight. The rear end is 323 sure gripe. This car runs and drives excellent. It has power steering, power breaks with front disc and rear drum breaks. It has new seat covers, head rest, door panels, upper door panels, gas cap, turn signals lights in the hood, exterior mirrors, door handles inside and out, front and rear bumpers and bumper guards. Custom B&M shifter that is modified to fit original console. Wire for console light is not attached. It is fast, fun and dependable. I could drive it every day if I wished. All of the lights, hideaway head lights, gauges work, except for the clock and tachometer. This car is factory AC but has no compressor. It has one small hair line crack in the paint by the rear antennae. It also has one very small chip by the trunk lid, as seen in the pictures. The car has 15,000 miles on the re-built engine and transmission. I haven't found rust anywhere on the car. The previous owner has patched a couple of small areas in the floor pan. The car has no oil leaks. This is a real nice car. It isn't perfect and it's not being advertised as such. I have tried to mention all of the items I am aware of that needs to be corrected in order to make it closer to perfect. This car is not a show car, but an awesome driver's car. The successful buyer is to pay a Non-refundable deposit of $1000 within 24 hours from auctions end. Paypal is an acceptable payment method for the deposit. The remainder of the balance is due within 7 days after the end of the auction. The balance is to be in the form of cash, money order, or I may consider a bank wire transfer. The funds will need to be cleared prior to the release of the car. The buyer will be responsible for arranging shipping and paying all shipping charges. The car is sold "As Is", "Where Is", with "No Warranty" expressed or written. |

Chrysler recalls AWD 300, Charger, Ram 1500 over ZF transmission
Tue, 24 Dec 2013What do the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Ram 1500 all have in common? Yes, they're all Chrysler products, and two of them are based on the same platform. And we're sure you could find more similarities between them all, but the common trait we're looking at here is that, while they all come standard in rear-drive form, they're also available with all-wheel drive. And it's the transmission in those models that's the subject of the latest recall notice issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The output shaft on the eight-speed automatic transmission supplied by ZF to Chrysler for the AWD versions of the 300, Charger and Ram 1500 is apparently prone to fracture. That in the end could leave the vehicle without power and could, according to the NHTSA investigation, increase the chance of a crash. The vehicle could also roll away if even if left in Park without the handbrake applied.
That's why Chrysler is calling in 4,194 examples of those three models from the 2013 model year. Dealers will be responsible for inspecting the transmissions and, where necessary, replace the entire unit. See the full recall notice below for all the details.
Ralph Gilles responds to Dodge rumors, says brand is 'here to stay'
Fri, 12 Jul 2013This is why we love Ralph Gilles. While in Italy hanging out with a group of Viper Club members in Europe, the SRT boss took the time to respond to a question directed at him on Instagram in regards to the future of Dodge.
Recent reports have painted a bleak picture for Dodge, but Gilles defended Chrysler's full-line brand by stating that the rumors are, "all rumors, Dodge is here to stay! It may get more focused going forward but not killed!" The idea of a "more focused" Dodge brand could lend some credibility to reports that the Grand Caravan and Durango are on their way out, which would leave Dodge solely as a car, or car-based, automaker.
Mopar '13 Dart priced from $25,485*
Wed, 12 Jun 2013For the past few years, Chrysler's Mopar in-house tuning division has created its own one-off versions of several cars in the automaker's portfolio, including the Mopar '10 Challenger, Mopar '11 Charger and Mopar '12 300. For 2013, the black-and-blue up-do has been given to the new Dart compact, and Chrysler has announced that the limited-edition sedan is now available for order, priced from $25,485, not including *$995 for destination.
Like previous Mopar edition vehicles, the Dart is painted in a signature Pitch Black exterior with an offset blue racing stripe. The sedan sits seven millimeters lower to the ground and gets visual add-ons like a chin spoiler, decklid spoiler and rear diffuser, along with gloss black 18-inch alloy wheels.
Performance wise, the Dart's 1.4-liter MultiAir inline four-cylinder engine remains, producing 160 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The Mopar car gets a sport-tuned exhaust system along with revised power steering calibration and beefier brakes.
