Classic Dodge Mopar project truck for a cool rat rod or restoration. The truck has some rust in the bed and tailgate areas as pictured but is otherwise very solid and rust free in the frame and all structural points. The truck's body is straight and original with minor dents and scrapes. It has no body filler so what you see in the pictures is the honest condition of the body. The engine starts easily and runs ok.I have driven the vehicle for short distances and feel that the engine is running strong despite carb problems. It goes through all the gears smoothly and stops well.It has a new brake master cylinder but may require additional bleeding. The carburetor needs repair or replacement as the plastic part that operates the pump is broken / inoperative.I have changed the oil and filter but not the spark plugs, wires etc.It should be given a proper tune up.Alternator and voltage regulator are new but the system is not charging, I suspect there is a wiring problem- possibly due to aftermarket ignition switch? Lights and cigarrette lighter work but everything else is inoperative. Windshield rubber has shrunk and is missing in some sections. There is no door key. There is no headliner or sunvisors but rods are present. The front bumper is mangled and is pictured in the bed.Tires are in great condition but hubcaps are from a 68 Ford.Vehicle is being sold as a restoration project in AS/IS condition. Please ask any questions before bidding to avoid any misunderstandings as the sale will be FINAL. California title and bill of sale will be provided. The car is currently on DMV non-operational status.

Fiat-Chrysler shows its SEMA lineup

Fri, 24 Oct 2014

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles already previewed its 2014 SEMA show lineup with some slick renders. Now, the automaker has finally showed us the actual cars, and among the group there are definitely some that stand out more than others.
Dodge is really showing off its muscle at this year's show with four concepts that all pump up the power of the brand's models. Perhaps most interesting among them is the Challenger T/A Concept (pictured above) in striking Sublime Green and matte black. It's meant to resemble the classic Trans Am racer from the '70s. Under the hood is a 6.4-liter V8, and to fit the vintage style there's a pistol-grip gearshift inside.
The Charger R/T also gets some attention with the Mopar concept that shows off what FCA's aftermarket performance arm can do. Mods include an updated body kit, cold-air intake for the 5.7-liter V8 and a coil-over suspension kit. Beyond that, the Dart R/T Concept looks a lot meaner with a black hood with duct work that leads straight to the air intake. The rest of the compact sedan is dolled up in O-So-Orange paint and is fitted with upgrades to improve handling like a coil-over suspension and big brake kit from the Mopar catalog.

Ralph Gilles responds to Dodge rumors, says brand is 'here to stay'

Fri, 12 Jul 2013

This is why we love Ralph Gilles. While in Italy hanging out with a group of Viper Club members in Europe, the SRT boss took the time to respond to a question directed at him on Instagram in regards to the future of Dodge.
Recent reports have painted a bleak picture for Dodge, but Gilles defended Chrysler's full-line brand by stating that the rumors are, "all rumors, Dodge is here to stay! It may get more focused going forward but not killed!" The idea of a "more focused" Dodge brand could lend some credibility to reports that the Grand Caravan and Durango are on their way out, which would leave Dodge solely as a car, or car-based, automaker.

2013 Dodge Dart gets brace of new special edition models

Thu, 16 May 2013

After almost a year on the market it, it is becoming more clear to Dodge how customers like to option out their Darts, so the automaker has combined popular features into three special edition packages and sweetened the prices. Start with a standard 2013 Dart and add either the SXT or Limited "Special Editions" or Rallye Appearance Group, and you'll save yourself a lot of box checking.
The $595 Dart SXT Special Edition takes the trim just above the base model and adds a new grille, dark-tinted headlights and projector fog lights, LED racetrack taillights, cruise control and audio controls on the leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Limited Special Edition starts with the top-end model and adds a power sunroof, heated front seats and steering wheel, dual-zone climate control and Nappa leather seats among other features, for $1,810.
The Rallye Appearance Group (pictured) is a package for the SXT, and it blacks out the front fascia, throws on 17-inch wheels and some badging for $395. The new special editions are reaching dealers now and could help the Dart's sales to further improve after a slow start. You can find out more about them in the press release below.
