Hello, you are bidding on a 2004 dodge ram 2500 4x4. This truck has been well maintained mechanically. The truck has had ball joints, front axle u joints, and sway bar end links replaced within the last year (or 8k ish miles). The truck has a factory remanufactured transmission that was replaced around 100k miles I would have to look on the paperwork to be exact which leads to the next point. All of the work described I have the receipts for so if you would like to see what all has been done I keep all receipts for the truck with the truck so that is no problem. The truck has always had full synthetic oil ran it and about 6 months ago the trans fluid transfer case fluid and axle fluids were all changed to synthetic oils as well. the truck is an awesome truck and will do anything that you ask of it. As for mods the truck is mostly stock. The truck has a K&N air intake and 5 inch turbo back exhaust with resonator. It has new tires put on just before winter which puts them with just around 10k miles on them. They are currently on the set of American racing wheels that you see pictured but those wheels will be taken off unless you would like to pay a bit extra for them, otherwise the factory wheels will be reinstalled with these tires on them. The interior is all factory with no rips or tears. Truck has never been smoked in and the seats have no stains, and is very clean overall. The one downfall to this truck is it has rusty rockers and cab corners but for any of you body guys out there you know that it is a fairly inexpensive repair and could be fixed cheaply, I choose to use my limited funds to upkeep the truck mechanically instead of the body work that I know can be done at any time. This is the only flaw with the entire truck and really isn't a big deal at all. This isn't a have to sell situation so I wont take crazy low ball offers but if you would like to shoot me a reasonable offer I will consider it and if I accept I will pull auction down early. The truck is also for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end the auction early. If you have any questions PLEASE feel free to call or text me (Drake) at 217 six 9 one 6466.

NHTSA probing Ram recall pace, communication

Tue, 28 Oct 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced that it's looking into Chrysler Group's handling of a pair of recalls affecting roughly one million Ram pickup trucks. Reuters is reporting that the regulatory agency is focusing on the availability (or lack thereof) of parts and "poor communications" from the automaker in its investigation.
"Customers have been advised in accordance with the regulations governing recalls," Chrysler spokesman Eric Mayne told Reuters via email. "We are continually replenishing our supply of replacement parts. Chrysler Group regrets any inconvenience our customers may have experienced."
NHTSA disagrees, arguing that the recalls, which affect 972,000 trucks from 2003 to 2012, are being delayed by the lack of parts.

Chrysler to accelerate production of 2013 Ram and V6 engines

Fri, 16 Nov 2012

Chrysler is adding a third shift at its Warren Truck plant to meet demand for the new 2013 Ram pickup. And with tight supplies of its Pentastar V6, the company is also boosting output at its Mack Engine plant.
The expansions will add 1,250 jobs and are part of a $238 million investment by Chrysler in the Detroit area. Warren's third shift will begin work sometime in the spring, a Chrysler rep told Automotive News. Mack's increased Pentastar production a could include both 3.6 and 3.2-liter engines.
The company says it also plans to invest $40 million in its Trenton Engine plant to allow for production of a 3.2-liter V6 as well as the Tigershark inline-four for the upcoming Jeep Liberty replacement.

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat [w/videos]

Tue, 22 Jul 2014

Darrell Waltrip once said, "If the lion didn't bite the tamer every once in a while, it wouldn't be exciting." The sentiment behind that aphorism is causing my adrenal gland to wake up as Dodge and SRT drivers and engineers - somber-faced to a man - give me the track talk that will precede my driving the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT on the circuit at Portland International Raceway. PIR might not be Daytona, and the 707-horsepower Challenger Hellcat might seem tame to a legend like ol' Jaws, but there's a not-small part of me that's thinking about how hard Dodge's fire-breathing kitty might bite.
Just a few hours previous, I'd gotten behind the wheel of the Hellcat for the first time, letting its hyperbole-spitting, supercharged V8 Hemi pull me yieldingly through Portland's morning commuter traffic. Lulled into a cocky certainty by the Challenger's good manners at low speed, I drove the throttle just a hair too deep, too fast when I ran on to the highway ramp. For just an instant the rear tires were utterly drenched in torque, and the back end of the big Dodge loosened up like a drift car on a wet track. Throttle steer lives at the fleeting whim of your right foot in this car.
It was no big thing to lay off the gas and pull the Hellcat back in line as I entered the highway, but the incident did get me to thinking: What will this car do to me on a road course?
