1969 Ford Bronco 302ci, 3 Speed Standard Transmission, 4x4 on 2040-cars
Jacksonville, Florida, United States
Matching numbers original Bronco. Unrestored, uncut. 302 cubic inch V8 with three speed MANUAL column shift transmission (good clutch). Original 139,000 miles. The floors have some rust holes. The driver's floor has an aluminum patch. Three quarters of the original rockers (inner & outer) are still solid/&/in place (enough to build repairs on). Sheet metal has been used in portions of both rockers towards the rear. Most of the inner rockers factory plates are still existing. Quarters are best of all. Both doors open & close as expected; closing tight & flush/alligned. The passenger side will eventually need a pillar section (area where hinges attach); this door drops a little at opening due to lower hinge. The doors themselves are solid(pictures available. All glass is good & wind up door windows both work great. The old plastic sheet tint needs removal sometime. The paint job is a "driver" state of affairs; nowhere near top notch. The rear cabin floor had tape adhesive strips to hold old carpet down. All is removed but some of the tape is still there. Rust in seams was treated with Ospho rust neutralizer & sealer applied. Most lights, speedo, heater fan, 4 ways, etc, work. MECHANICAL NEEDS: Driver wiper motor works, passinger side doesn't. I'm not sure if these are after market since each has a seperate motor. The rear parking lights not working. Left front brake is grabbing. Starts & runs very nice. Throaty muscle 302 sound from the dual exhaust exiting left & right (looks to be stainless; at least tailpipes). No oil smoke/burn or overheating. 4X4 action/locking hubs working correctly.
SOME RECENT NEW PARTS: battery, tires, carburetor kit & radiator. Daily driver.
No alterations or customs
On Nov-13-13 at 18:47:23 PST, seller added the following information: Also, new wires & plugs. Comes with new oil filter. |

More evidence GT500-replacement will be named GT350
Tue, 17 Dec 2013During the recent unveiling of the 2015 Ford Mustang, we saw the car in both V6 and GT form, but we'll have to wait a little bit longer to see the successor to the Shelby GT500. In the meantime, though, it looks like SVTPerformance.com has confirmed reports that this high-performance model will bring the Shelby GT350 name back to Ford.
According to the forum post, a user found the Shelby GT350 name on a Ford promo website listing its 2015 lineup. The Shelby GT350 name was first used on a Mustang back in 1965, and most recently it has been a model created for customers as a post-title purchase by Shelby American. As for that car, Shelby confirmed earlier in the year that its GT350 would be phased out at the end of this month.
The million-dollar question for Mustang and Shelby enthusiasts is when we'll see next factory Shelby GT350. Last we heard it was planned for a debut at the New York Auto Show. We've included our previous spy shots of this hi-po, sixth-gen Mustang, and we've also captured it on spy video showing off its exhaust note.
Ford Ranger-based 7-seat SUV spotted testing
Wed, 29 May 2013Ford looks to be working on a new SUV version of its global Ranger pickup truck. An early prototype of a seven-passenger SUV based on the Ranger has been spotted testing in Australia, and word has it buyers in the region could expect to see the model in showrooms as soon as 2014, where it could sail under the Endeavour or Everest badges. Ford Australia currently sells the Territory SUV, so there's some chance that this model could be a successor to that throne, as well.
Whatever it's called, the long-roof Ranger will feature a shorter wheelbase and more ground clearance than its pickup twin, giving the machine a bit more off-road functionality. (And here we thought we couldn't want the global Ranger any more than we already do.) While this particular vehicle sports a Territory back half grafted onto a Ranger front end, odds are a public reveal of the finished product could occur as soon as the second half of 2014, making it a 2015 model. Head over to Carsguide.com.au for a closer look.
Toyota, Ford decide to end hybrid collaboration before it starts
Tue, 23 Jul 2013Not all so-called Memorandum of Understanding pacts end in actual collaborations. For instance, after a two-year "feasibility study," Toyota and Ford have just announced that they will not be developing hybrid systems for use in light trucks and SUVs as previously planned, and the two automakers will instead continue to develop their own hybrid technology independently.
The would-be collaboration was first announced in August of 2011, and would have seen a rear-wheel-drive hybrid platform that would "improve the efficiency of trucks and SUVs while still allowing them to be driven in the way customers expect," according to our initial post on the topic.
Keep in mind that this announcement isn't to say we shouldn't expect hybrid pickups and SUVs from the two automakers, but that they probably aren't coming very soon - Ford says it will have a system "before the end of this decade" and we haven't heard much from Toyota on the hybrid truck front since the 2008 A-BAT Concept (pictured above) - and that they will not share any components between them (and they never have, for what it's worth).
