2007 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Lx Sport Ex-highway Patrol on 2040-cars
Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States
Bought from the State Patrol in 2011. This car is a factory ordered complete black (UA) Crown Victoria. I completely gutted and redid interior, sparing no details, everything is factory looking and functioning, including the floor shift interlock. This is the 2nd time I've installed a sport interior in a P71 and the 6th time I've completely redone a P71 interior. This Crown Victoria was ordered with a factory police wiring package that is still in place and has all of the strobes still attached. Single officer driven for lifetime of duty and they take their cars home, no light bar installed on top of car, was a stealth slick top. Two evenly spaced centered NMO mount holes on trunk and one rear centered hole on roof. One accident on VIN, the car was hit on the left rear panel, minimal impact. Damage was repaired and put back into service for a few months. Car was bought

Added Factory Options LX Factory OEM windshield, has sun strip (small rock chips and one crack were in drivers view on old windshield) All lights work, including the highlight switch bulb. Tires are in great shape, Goodyear RSA. Everything is in great working order with this car. Not desperate to sell. I love this car and will probably cry if it sells. I can wait up to 90 days with down payment of $400.00. I will pick you up from MSP and car will have full tank of gas. Must take out insurance if waiting more then 14 days to pickup car. Detroit automakers mulling helping DIA avoid bankruptcy looting
Tue, 13 May 2014It's not really a secret that the city of Detroit is in lots and lots of trouble. Even with an emergency manager working to guide it through bankruptcy, a number of the city's institutions remain in very serious danger. One of the most notable is the Detroit Institute of Arts, a 658,000-square-foot behemoth of art that counts works from Van Gogh, Picasso, Gauguin and Rembrandt (not to mention a version of Rodin's iconic "The Thinker," shown above) as part of its permanent collection.
Throughout the bankruptcy, the DIA has been under threat, with art enthusiasts, historians and fans of the museum concerned that its expansive collection - valued between $454 and $867 million by Christie's - could be sold by the city to help square its $18.5-billion debt.
Now, though, Detroit's hometown automakers could be set to step up and help save the renowned museum. According to a report from The Detroit News, the charitable arms of General Motors, Ford and Chrysler could be set to donate $25 million as part of a DIA-initiated campaign, called the "grand bargain." As part of the deal, the DIA would seek $100 million in corporate donations as part of a larger attempt at putting together an $816-million package that would be paid to city pension funds over 20 years. Such a move would protect the city's art collection from being sold off.
2013 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year finalists announced [w/poll]
Wed, 12 Dec 20122012 is almost in the books and automakers are spending December gearing up for the 2013 auto show season, which tips off next month at the Detroit Auto Show. Traditionally, the latter opens up with the announcement of the North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year awards, and this year figures to be no different.
But up until this moment, we didn't know which six vehicles would be parked ahead of the stage as finalists, with executives and engineers waiting for the winners to be disclosed. Whittled down from October's "short list" of nominees (11 cars and 10 truck/utility vehicles), the finalists are as follows:

Watch Ken Block's scary Rally America crash from inside the cockpit
Wed, 19 Feb 2014Ken Block became famous for his series of Gymkhana videos, but he's a real racer in his own right. Block has competed many rounds in the FIA World Rally Championship and also rallied in the 2013 Rally America series. He nearly won that latter title last year - if not for a massive crash in the final event of the season.
Block and his co-driver Alex Gelsomino went into the Lake Superior Performance Rally needing a win to take the championship. However, missing a clump of dirt on the side of the road and one little word in the pace notes was all it took to catapult Block's Fiesta off the road and into a tumbling accident. Block says his initial reaction was anger because the crash came out of nowhere.
For 2014, Block is joining the FIA World Rallycross Championship for at least three rounds. He'll drive a Ford Fiesta for the Hoonigan Racing Division at the Norwegian, French and Turkish events of the 12-round championship. Former Formula One World Champion Jacques Villeneuve will also compete in the series.
