You are bidding on the 1979 Ford fully customized "Dream Maker" van exclusively built, custom painted, and used in the Ke$ha video C'MON. I was told she was the one who thought of, designed, and approved the paint job and the outside customizations. It has a good running 351 engine and automatic transmission with a fully customized furry interior that was done back in the late 70's. The interior does need to be freshened up especially on the door panels and dash cover where the sun has damaged the material. All the door handles have been shaved and it now has electric push button door releases all of which was also done in the 70's. It has an ice box, vintage cb radio, vintage radar detector, sunroof and the 8 track tape player you see in the video. It runs and drives great and as you can imagine draws ALOT of looks and attention. The tail,ears, and whiskers have been removed but will come with the van if you want them. There is a little glue residue from where the whiskers were. It may come off with some elbow grease but I will leave that up to the new owner. It is not a showcar paint job but alot of time and effort went into the detail. The picture of the drawing is what was given to the paint shop. I have put a modest reserve on this van to protect my investment. This is a one of a kind van and is sure to turn heads any time you drive it plus has a little notarity behind it.. I'm not the jealous type... usually. But I will fully admit to being somewhat of a Pouty Polly when I read executive editor Chris Paukert's report after driving the then-new 2013 Ford Focus ST through the impossibly pretty southern French Alps region last June. I feel like a broken record saying this yet again, but hot hatchbacks hold a special place in my heart. And while I'm always giddy to drive any sort of small, turbocharged three- or five-door at home in Detroit, my jealousy was indeed piqued after hearing Paukert tell about the challenging yet breathtaking roads he encountered while driving the flamin' yellow Focus. You know, the sort of roads that, from above, look like carelessly drizzled lines of icing on the frosted Alpen caps.
Several months later, I found myself piloting a Focus ST just west of metro Detroit, pitting it head-to-head against one of Autoblog's perennial favorite cars, the Volkswagen GTI. It was fantastic - enough so that I fully stand behind my statement that in terms of balls-out performance, the Focus ST cannot be beat as far as today's front-wheel-drive hatches are concerned.

Fri, 05 Sep 2014There's an evergreen debate among auto enthusiasts about whether they would prefer to have the latest and greatest car of today or a certified classic from yesteryear. What if you had to further define that, though, and the choice was between a brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy or a turbocharged Datsun 240Z with a hatch that wouldn't close? Roadkill aimed to find out that and more in one of its best videos to date.
According to the hosts, Subaru came to them, handed over some money and challenged Roadkill's project cars against its latest Legacy. The result is every bit as good (or better) than any automotive-themed show you could find on television.
Things start simple with a figure-eight race in a rodeo arena with the Subaru taking on Roadkill's 1968 Ford Ranchero, originally built for ice racing. From there the Legacy races a 1968 Dodge Charger with no windows around and off-road rally stage. Finally, the Subie goes head-to-head against the Rotsun, the aforementioned turbocharged 240Z, through an abandoned neighborhood. Plus, there's a bonus drag race challenging them all.
