2000 Ford Excursion Limited with the very desirable 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel. North Carolina truck with NO RUST ISSUES nice clean frame not all scaled up like most very clean on the top and underside. Highly optioned power steering/brakes/windows/mirrors/locks/seats CD with changer factory aluminum wheels in excellent condition not all pitted up like most you see. Interior is very nice 3rd row seating no rips carpet nice and clean I would say its a 9 on a 1-10 scale considering age. Paint is original never any accidents or paintwork and is in excellent condition I would say at least 8.5 on a 1-10 considering its 14yrs old. Truck looks like it has 75k miles very well kept and maintained by a mechanic. Has 214k original miles and runs like new gets 18mpg on highway 15 around town. Has tow package 4 wheel drive works fine transmission was rebuilt by previous owner and shifts nice and smooth and tires are also in good shape with at least 50% tread. This is a 200k mile truck its not perfect but I guarantee you will not find a cleaner 2000 model with comparable miles. Truck has been garaged kept by me and previous owner. Has a new alternator and belt and was fully serviced 2000 miles ago. Ready to go no mechanical issues runs and drives 100% everything works I know of heat blows hot a/c is cold engine compartment is very clean as you can see in the pics as it was washed every time the truck was. Also advertised locally so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. This truck will be sold as is no warranty. NO 0 FEEDBACK BIDDERS and I require a $1000 deposit 48hrs after auctions end with balance due within 7 days of auctions end. Don't miss out or let the miles scare you the 7.3 diesel will go 500k without batting an eye. My other F250 had 387k when I sold it and still ran the same as it did when I bought it new. They are very reliable and still get better fuel mileage than any newer diesel engine Ford has out. Any questions call 443-398-7271 or come see and drive for yourself nothing to hide just a nice truck. Fly in and drive home or delivery is possible within 500 miles at buyers expense. Please call or email for a quote I was in the towing business for years and still transport some cars. |

Ford unveils all-new 2016 F-650 and F-750 at NTEA
Tue, 04 Mar 2014Medium-duty work trucks might not be the most exciting vehicles, but they perform necessary jobs everyday. Ford is in the process of a complete refresh of its entire commercial vehicle lineup over the next 18 months, and it is debuting the all-new versions of its F-650 and F-750 trucks at the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, IN.
"The all-new F-650/F-750 allow us to leverage our strengths and sales leadership in Classes 1 to 5 to create a better F-650/F-750 that's designed, engineered and built by Ford in the USA," said Ford spokesperson Mike Levine to Autoblog via email.
Huge amounts of torque is vital for trucks like these, and both models are offered with some of Fords biggest engines. Buyers can opt for either the 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel with TorqShift 6-speed automatic with available power takeoff or a gasoline-fueled 6.8-liter V10 with a 6-speed automatic. The V10 can also be ordered from the factory to be fueled by compressed natural gas or liquid propane gas.
Does the new 2015 Ford Mustang have a burnout control system?
Tue, 10 Dec 2013Whether it's lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring or automatic emergency braking, most of the electronic systems we see emerging on new vehicles focus on safety. But there are some there just for enthusiasts. We're talking about systems like automatic throttle blipping for perfect downshifts, or launch control to get that textbook acceleration from a standstill. But the latest system could prove just the opposite of the latter.
Although it has given us most of the details, Ford is still keeping certain elements of its new Mustang secret. But emerging reports may have the skinny on one system which Ford is trying is darnedest to keep under its hat for the time being. That, according to unnamed sources cited by Motor Authority, is burnout control.
The system is reportedly designed to help novices execute the perfect smokey burnout - sort of like launch control, but specifically the opposite. The system could, according to elaborative speculation, lock the front brakes while spooling up the engine to optimal revolutions before dumping (or indicating the driver to do dump) the clutch. A cloud of tire smoke and a long pair of skid marks would then ensue.
Ford's Galhotra succeeds Farley as head of Lincoln
Wed, 23 Jul 2014Ford Motor Company is announcing a major personnel shakeup that could have a dramatic effect on the future of the Lincoln division. Kumar Galhotra (pictured above), currently vice president of engineering at Ford for all of its vehicles worldwide, is taking over as the president of the luxury brand on September 1, replacing Jim Farley. The automaker is also hiring a new head of advanced engineering.
Galhotra has a huge job ahead of him as the new boss of Lincoln worldwide, overseeing product development, marketing, sales and service. His task is to turn the luxury division into a world-class brand as quickly as possible, and he reports directly to Ford President and CEO Mark Fields.
"These changes underscore our commitment to build on the success of our One Ford plan by accelerating our pace of progress. They also make clear we are serious about Lincoln as a world-class luxury brand and that product excellence and innovation are what will deliver growth and define our entire company going forward," said Fields in the company's announcement.
