The 53 F100 was uniquely styled with a slant cab window, fat fenders and larger cab space than the F1. 1953 was also the 50th anniversary of the Ford pickup. I have had this truck in the garage for 20 years. The Chassis has sat outside for a year but is in great condition it has been sprayed with primer. The Truck has been disassembled and I have all the parts. there is some surface rust on the main parts and the piece that is the front of the bed against the cab is pretty rusty and may need to be replaced. That seems like the worst piece. I do have the 6 chrome teeth for the grill somewhere and i am still looking. As you can see the doors are in great shape and windows work. All the brackets are there for all I can tell. My Ex husband left this truck behind 13 years ago so I am limited on information on how to reassemble it. It seems like a simple design and its really in great shape. I have the mirrors, windshield wiper motor, headlamps and holders, nuts and bolts, heater, radiator, brackets, misc parts. I do not have the Flathead motor sorry.

Why Ford's Alan Mulally would be right for Microsoft, or any company
Thu, 03 Oct 2013
That Mulally was seriously being considered says a great deal about Microsoft and Mulally.
It appears that the chatter about Ford CEO Alan Mulally possibly leaving early to take over as CEO of Microsoft is losing air pretty fast. What's pretty interesting is that it got any traction in the first place.

Hennessey Ford GT sets 267.6-MPH record at Texas Mile [w/videos]
Mon, 25 Mar 2013The record-setting Hennessey-powered camouflage Ford GT we showed you at this time last year headed back to the Texas Mile and managed to bring home yet another record. As you may recollect, last year saw Mark Heidraker's machine sprint to a record 257.7 mph thanks to propulsion from its twin-turbo 5.7-liter V8. The big mill sucks down race gas, and this year the creation pulled off a 267.6-mph run over the weekend. That feat set a new record for the event. Something tells us neither Heidraker nor Hennessey are done squeezing more thrust from this machine.
This particular Ford GT has already gone through a number of permutations. Hennessey started by tweaking the factory supercharger set up before abandoning the blower in favor of two turbos. Since then, the crew has poked and prodded it to coerce as much grunt as possible out of the car. We expect Hennessey will probably come out with a video of the record-setting run shortly, but in the meantime, you can see a couple of videos of the car's runs in Texas below (one of which actually captures the record run). Enjoy.
