Beautiful 1958 Ford F-100 Pickup Let me start off by saying this has always been a Florida Truck! I bought this truck from the original owner. The truck has and comes with the original Florida license plate. Two years ago we decided to do the truck over. The paint was done but all the sheet metal is original, including cab corners, running boards, fenders, doors, bed etc. A Ford/Lincoln 9 inch rear end was installed, a C6 Ford Tranny and a 460 V8 was installed. The truck has a new Edelbrock Carb, electronic ignition, power brakes including disk in front. The air conditioning system is only 8 months old and works perfectly. Ice/ice cold. The truck runs and drives great and goes down the road with no rattles or squeaks. The truck is very fast and easy to drive. The only things that don't work are the temp and fuel gauges. All the lights work fine. The other aftermarket gauges work fine. I'm selling this truck because i recently bought a house in Florida and want to find a nice convertable to drive daily. Prior to buying the house i keep this down there in storage to drive when i make the trip down from RI. This is a great truck to drive. Check the pics, its in really nice shape. Are you a new Ford Mustang SVO? [w/video]
Fri, 16 May 2014When Ford announced that its 2015 Mustang would arrive with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, three letters came to mind: SVO. While Ford hasn't said a word regarding the rebirth of a Mustang SVO model, this latest set of spy shots shows us something very, very interesting. Allow us to explain.
The Mustang prototype in these photos looks very similar to the GT500 test cars we've spotted before - same bulging hood, aggressive front fascia and air vents aft of the front wheels. What's different, however, is around back. Have a look at the exhaust, and note that instead of the GT500's usual quad pipes, two of the exhaust outlets have been capped off.
Our spies point out that these exhaust outlets could be closed for some sort of emissions testing or another engineering reason, but it's also important to note that the engine and exhaust notes of this car sound completely different from earlier GT500 prototypes. Aussie Ford Falcon GT shows its rear end to Lamborghini Gallardo
Sun, 27 Apr 2014When Ford Australia announces, as it did recently, that it wants to celebrate the end of its Ford Performance Vehicle division with a Falcon FPV GT-F that celebrates big-bore origins of the nameplate, it's talking about the kind of car in this video.
At some point the classic Falcon GT - said to be an XY series - was invited to a test of acceleration against a Lamborghini Gallardo. At the very least, the Falcon GT had a 351 cubic-inch motor and 300 horsepower, but whatever this guy's got under the hood of his yellow sedan makes has him so confident that he doesn't even move his elbow from its resting place on the door.

Ford F-100 'Snakebit' shown off by Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed at SEMA
Tue, 05 Nov 2013Ford, along with KISS bassist Gene Simmons and his wife, Shannon Tweed, used SEMA as a backdrop to pull the covers off Snakebit, a 1956 Ford F-100 pickup truck that's been updated with Shelby Mustang-derived styling bits and a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 engine. All 550 horsepower are funneled through a six-speed manual gearbox to the rear wheels.
Underneath the custom bodywork sits a chassis that's been stretched five inches and a bed widened and bedecked with billet machined pieces that are supposed to look like wood. The 20-inch rear and 18-inch front wheels ape those of past Shelby Mustang models. The interior is swathed in two-tone leather with a bench seat designed to look - try to act surprised - like a Shelby Mustang.
Like what you see? Bidding for the truck will take place in 2014 at an unspecified Barrett-Jackson event (we'd assume Scottsdale). Proceeds will be used to help build a children's hospital in Saskatoon, in the province of Saskatchewan, where Ms. Tweed grew up.
