1964 Fairlane two door post coupe - THUNDER BOLT clone??? This is a solid, rustfree California car that's now running a newer Mustang GT 5.0L HO EFI motor. Engine has been modified with Edelbrock performer heads and a nice sounding E-303 roller cam. The trans is FoMoCo's indestructable C-4 auto, the rear is an 8" POSI, running street friendly 3:50 gears. It has a brand new 2-1/2 inch exhaust with flowmaster mufflers which runs to the back of the car, she sounds nice and throaty but not obnoxious. The inside is very clean with cloth covered buckets and rear bench, floor shifter is your tried and true B&M competition shifter. This old gal runs and drives perfect and is a perfect base to built your ThunderBolt Clone - it's already got the right hood! The buyer has a choice of wheels - we have a set of draglite wheels 4" front and 7" back, or 7" steel wheels and 4" torque thrust wheels as seen on car in the pics. It'll be the buyer's choice or make a deal for all of them? This car has no rust in the floors or the trunk. It has great paint with a couple of minor blemishes. It has been well taken care of and was always garage kept. Overall it's a really nice car that has plenty of power which runs and drives great! Ford Fiesta ST orders off to strong start
Fri, 17 May 2013We at Autoblog love the new little Ford Fiesta ST, and apparently, folks in Europe are pretty impressed with it, as well. According to Ford, the automaker's European arm has already logged 3,000 orders for the new hot hatch since it hit dealerships this March. The US-spec car, which will only be available as a five-door, will go on sale in the United States this summer.
What's perhaps most interesting about the Fiesta ST ordering is that the majority of customers appear to be ordering high-spec cars. According to Ford data, 60 percent of customers have opted for the leather interior with Recaro buckets, and 90 percent have selected the upgraded 17-inch wheels (seen on our test car, above). Spirit Blue has been the most popular color, commanding 27 percent of all orders. As for the technology upgrades, 19 percent of customers have ponied up for the Sony stereo with navigation.
To recap, the Fiesta ST is offered with Ford's 1.6-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, putting out 179 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque, mated exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. We had an absolute blast flinging the hot Fiesta through the French Alps, and we can't wait for this sharp little hatch to make its way over to the States.

The ST school is about more than just handbrake turns, hot laps, and sliding into parking spaces.
I felt like such a rock star. On my second pass around the UrbanCross course (read: fancy autocross) at the Ford ST Octane Academy, I absolutely nailed the exit, sliding the bright-yellow Focus ST sideways into a box the size of a parking space, all four wheels in line.
eBay Find of the Day: Mk1 Ford GT40 with interesting history
Sat, 03 May 2014You might expect a rare Ford GT40 to cross the block at some sort of prestigious auto auction from RM or Gooding, not show up on eBay for over $2 million. However, that's exactly what we have here. The seller claims the car is a late-build Mk1 GT40 from 1969, and it's currently owned by the director of the Hublot watch company in Switzerland.
According to the listing, GT40 #P1108 started life as Mk1 car that was built from factory spares in 1969 and was first sold in 1971. However, the auction is somewhat confusing. According to an image in its gallery, the vehicle was actually built from one of the seven spare Mk3 tubs when production of the iconic racers ended.
This GT40 was never built as a racecar - it lived on the streets its whole life. After assembly finished, it was sent to Germany and was eventually registered for the road. The first owner kept the car until 2005 and sold it with 7,300 miles on the odometer. The current owner bought it in 2012.
