Great running and driving 1963 Ford 300. This is Not a Galaxie as far as I can tell. It is a plain car that was built in 1963 only. I was told Barny Fife's police car in Mayberry was one of these. The horn sounds identical too. By vin, The color matches. Original interior with one repaint. Glacier blue, made in december 1963 in Louisville. 260 V-8 runs like it is brand new. Very tight and easy to drive. No mechanical problems whatsoever. Fly in and drive it home. Every light works. Windows are all easy to roll up and down and there is no rust on the vehicle. The frame is solid as a new one. Three on the tree shifts smooth and clutch is in adjustment. Repaint did not include door jambs or trunk/hood lids underneath. Interior is all original and untouched. Visors are losing stitching and drivers seat has a small worn tear that is about 8 inches long. Its just like going back in time. AM radio powers up but does not work. I think it is only unplugged but everything is there. To be a show car it really could use carpet and seat covers. 14 Tires and wheels in fine shape. I bought this from a 65 year old man in my church. It was his mothers car and has always been stored inside. Clear indiana title. Please call with questions. 765-437-3958

Ford turns Navistar from truck business customer to rival
Mon, 19 May 2014There is a showdown brewing in the medium-duty truck segment next year as Ford prepares to launch its all-new, in-house engineered 2016 F-650 and F-750. It finally marks the end of the Blue Diamond joint venture between Ford and Navistar and, making the two entities direct competitors instead of partners.
Ford announced the end of the joint venture in an investor report in 2011, but it didn't reveal the new F-650 and F-750 until the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, IN, in March. Unlike the current, Mexican-built models, the new generation will be built in Avon Lake, OH, starting in mid-2015.
The challenge from Ford comes during a rough patch for Navistar. The company had a $248 million loss in the first quarter, according to The Wall Street Journal, and its medium-duty truck market share is currently down to 26 percent, from 36 percent in 2011. Building the previous-generation Fords brought in about $400 million a year to Navistar, according to the WSJ. To take on its former partner, Navistar plans to offer its International brand of medium-duty vehicles with more engine and transmission options to customers. It even struck a deal with Cummins to put its diesels in some of the models.

As difficult as it is to write this, I was actually excited about the 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid. With the beautiful looks of the newest midsize fighter from Ford and a fuel economy estimate capable of shaming even the stalwart Camry Hybrid, the battery-augmented four-door seemed like a recipe for unabashed success. But appearances love nothing more than swapping our boundless enthusiasm for cold platters of disappointment. The 2013 Fusion Hybrid gets hobbled right out of the gate with a lofty price tag, and real-world driving keeps the sedan from even approaching those EPA figures.
With so many excellent midsize hybrids on the market, is there any reason to consider the newest Fusion Hybrid? Are sharp aesthetics, a well-executed interior and capable driving dynamics enough to overcome the machine's shortfalls? Not from where I'm standing.
