Up for auction is my beautiful 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible. The 1965 Galaxie was an all-new design, featuring vertically stacked headlights in what was becoming the fashionable style in a car somewhat taller and bulkier than previous year's.
Suspension was dramatically redesigned. Replacing the former leaf-spring rear suspension was the new three-link system, featuring all coils. The ride improved, and handling got a boost, and this system was used for NASCAR in the full-size class. MY BEAUTIFUL 1965 FORD GALAXIE 500 CONVERTIBLE IS A GREAT CAR . IT RUNS AND DRIVES GOOD AND HOLDS THE ROAD WELL. THE CONVERTIBLE TOP IS IN GOOD CONDITION AND WORKS. THE INTERIOR IS IMMACULATE. THERE IS LITTLE TO NO RUST IN THIS CAR CONSIDERING IT IS A 1965. TIRES ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. IT HAS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION AND A 352 V8 ENGINE . IT HAS A POWER CONVERTIBLE TOP .THIS IS A GREAT DRIVER QUALITY CAR . THAT TURNS HEADS EVERYWHERE I GO . THIS IS A GREAT CAR TO GO TO LOCAL CAR SHOWS AND CLASSIC CAR MEETS. THE PAINT IS IN GOOD CONDITION AND THE COLOR COMBINATION LOOKS GREAT. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO CALL ME I WILL BE AS HELPFUL AS I CAN ANSWERING YOUR QUESTIONS AND GETTING YOU ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMTION OR PICTURES THANKS FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK.... 2015 Ford F-150 configurator is ready to go to work
Thu, 25 Sep 2014Ford is inching towards the on-sale date for the eagerly anticipated, aluminum F-150 pickup. While we're preparing to drive the new truck (expect our take on it sooner rather than later), the best-seller has reached another, albeit more minor, milestone as its online configurator has officially been switched on.
We took to Ford's consumer website to mess about with it and see just how ridiculous of a truck we can build. Among the fun things we discovered were these two nuggets - the most expensive truck we could configure was not the top-end Platinum model, but instead the King Ranch, which rang up at $65,955. The other exciting discovery? The new truck would be available in a questionable shade called Blue Jeans (shown above with the optional contrasting Caribou paint). Yep, Blue Jeans.
You can head over to Ford's consumer page and build your very own aluminum F-150 now. Take a look.
More evidence GT500-replacement will be named GT350
Tue, 17 Dec 2013During the recent unveiling of the 2015 Ford Mustang, we saw the car in both V6 and GT form, but we'll have to wait a little bit longer to see the successor to the Shelby GT500. In the meantime, though, it looks like SVTPerformance.com has confirmed reports that this high-performance model will bring the Shelby GT350 name back to Ford.
According to the forum post, a user found the Shelby GT350 name on a Ford promo website listing its 2015 lineup. The Shelby GT350 name was first used on a Mustang back in 1965, and most recently it has been a model created for customers as a post-title purchase by Shelby American. As for that car, Shelby confirmed earlier in the year that its GT350 would be phased out at the end of this month.
The million-dollar question for Mustang and Shelby enthusiasts is when we'll see next factory Shelby GT350. Last we heard it was planned for a debut at the New York Auto Show. We've included our previous spy shots of this hi-po, sixth-gen Mustang, and we've also captured it on spy video showing off its exhaust note.
Ford builds two-millionth EcoBoost engine
Tue, 17 Sep 2013Ford's EcoBoost engine lineup is only four years old, but it is growing into an important and popular global engine. As proof of its popularity, Ford just produced its 2 millionth EcoBoost engine - a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder - which rolled off the assembly line in Louisville, Kentucky under the hood of an Escape.
Ford now offers five EcoBoost engines around the world ranging from the 1.0-liter inline-three to the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6, and the automaker is expanding production of two of its engine lines to keep up with demand. Earlier this year, Ford announced that the 2.0-liter EcoBoost would be built in Cleveland, Ohio starting in 2014 and, more recently, Ford said that it will be doubling production of the 1.0-liter EcoBoost in Germany. That turbo-three will also be produced in China at a new Ford engine plant in Chongqing.
Scroll down for Ford's full press release on this EcoBoost production milestone, including a breakdown of where all the engines were made.
