Here is a good 1928 or 1929 Model A Ford pickup project. very solid cab, only minor lower rust in rear of cab, and lower cowl. Excellent sub rails, no pitting or rust, doors have very minor lower rust, and are very straight and solid for age. Cab needs all new wood, but all brackets and mouldings are there. Gas tank is very rusty, and has dents, but would work for a hot rod. Bed is solid, but has a few cracks and dents, but very workable, it has had a metal floor put in at some time, and could easily be removed. Tailgate has a few minor dings, but overall nice for it's age. Front fenders are rough with cracks and dents, missing pass rear fender, but driver rear is very decent and workable. Hood is not from a 28 or 29 and is very rough and only servicable for a rat rod, sides are workable, but not sure exactly waht they are from? Grill shell has lower damage but easily repaired. Chassis and running gear are very nice and had restoration started years ago, Still has good black paint. Engine is supposed to be rebuilt and only ran a short time. It turns over nicely and has good compression. The enginge is missing a few minor parts. No radiator. Trans is currently stuck in gear, but looks to be very rebuildable. Many parts and extras are in the bed. Sold with a Missouri BOS. Very restorable, or would make an excellent hot rod project. 10% due within 48 hrs of auctions end, the remainder due within 7 days. I can store free of charge for 30 days unless other arrangements are made prior to bidding. (573)338-5356 with questions.

Ford begins testing right-hand-drive Mustang
Wed, 20 Aug 2014Ford has officially kicked off testing of the right-hand-drive variant of its sixth-generation, 2015 Mustang, according to a statement issued by the company, which came with the above photo.
According to Ford, this will mark the first time a right-hand-drive 'Stang has traveled down the company's assembly line alongside its LHD brethren. It is far from the first of the legendary pony cars to feature its wheel on the wrong side, though, as converters in RHD markets across the globe have been making swaps for years.
Ford is planning on using the white, droptop Mustang for RHD development ahead of the car's arrival in the UK, Australia and South Africa, among other markets. Scroll down for the official press blast.
Martin Smith retires, Joel Piaskowski in as Ford Europe design chief
Thu, 29 May 2014The mind behind the look of much of the modern Ford global range is retiring. Martin Smith, Head of Ford Design in Europe, will give up his position on July 1 and will leave the company altogether at the end of the year. He will be replaced by current Strategic Concepts Group leader Joel Piaskowski (pictured above).
Smith has led Ford of Europe design for the past 10 years, and he was partially responsible for the brand's Kinetic Design language with a large grille and swept-back headlights found on the Focus, Fiesta and C-Max, as well as several other vehicles abroad. After stepping down on July 1 until his retirement at the end of 2014, Smith will work on a project to decide the future direction of the company's look with Moray Callum, its vice president of design.
Piaskowski already has some impressive credentials in terms of automotive design as well. He joined Ford in 2010 as director of exterior design and led the teams responsible for the 2015 Ford Mustang and next-generation F-150. He was also previously design director at Ford Asia Pacific. Before working at the Blue Oval, Piaskowski held positions at Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai and General Motors. Scroll down to read the complete announcement of this changing of the guard.
Ford pulls official support from top-level NHRA teams
Sun, 11 Aug 2013As the smallest team in the sport, it wasn't really a surprise when Dodge decided to pull out of NASCAR, but Autoweek is reporting that Ford is looking to pull the plug on its professional-level NHRA sponsorships following the 2014 season. With attendance and television ratings down, the article reports that Ford is just backing out of the top series but will remain active in the Sportsman classes of racing, which are geared more toward the grassroots and semi-professional racers.
This means that one of drag racing's biggest names, John Force, will be left looking for new sponsorship after next season. Force, 64, has been with Ford for 17 years, winning 15 championships in that time and winning almost half of all Funny Car events in his Mustang since he started working with Ford in 1997, but after 2014, there could be some big shakeups at John Force Racing.
According to the report, Force would consider is moving over to the Top Fuel dragster series, although he could also move to another manufacturer to remain in the Funny Car series. With Ford on the way out, this leaves just Toyota and Dodge as the remaining active automakers in the highest levels of drag racing.
