This is an original great running 1930 Ford Model A.

I'm no expert on these cars and don't really know the value of such a car but I traded my camper for it anyway.  My 4 young children and my wife have enjoyed ridding around in a piece of American history. It is truly a beautiful car.

It has the points with the retarder, hand throttle to set for highway use(cruise), foot petal accelerator, hand brake, wolf whistle and the iouga  horn.  The body is straight and the paint is ok. The top is great and the interior is very very good.  It is a dependable driver.  The tires are less than a year old and have no more than 1000 miles on them. There are no leaks to notice when I park it in my garage.  It has all the original equipment included.   This is the kind of car you could use in a road rally.  The man who has owned it for the past 40 years is a T and A expert. He passed last year and left it to his daughter. She traded it to me for my rv.    I will take as many pictures as I can. And answer as many questions as I can.   I'm going to have to trust you with a lot of this, including the value.   If you have something you want to sell so you can buy thus give me a call. However I require this transaction be completed on ebay if it originated here.   Things I'm in the market for:  hot rod, 67-69 camaro ss or rs, dodge viper, motor home, travel trailer, gold coins, silver coins. I like buying theses items. Maybe you can buy mine here by bidding and I could buy yours later . Call my cell at 501-593-7448.   And please be honest I don't know a lot about these cars.

DELIVERY IS AVAILABLE ENCLOSED FOR $2 per drivable mile. No boats

eBay Find of the Day: 1987 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe is showroom fresh

Tue, 27 Aug 2013

There's an ultra-rare Ford Thunderbird for sale on eBay, although it's not quite the T-Bird you're probably thinking. This is a 1987 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, complete with a five-speed manual transmission and just a shade over 13,000 miles on the clock. The condition is said to be mint, and judging by the interior and exterior pictures, we're inclined to believe the seller. The paint is glossy and the interior looks showroom new, while the underbody is stunningly clean for a 36-year-old car.
Underhood sits a 2.3-liter, intercooled and turbocharged four-cylinder (also found in the Mustang SVO) that was producing 190 horsepower when it left the factory. Inside, the five-speed manual transmission adds to the car's rarity. The vehicle's sole owner has been as immaculate with the paperwork as he has with the rest of the car - it's all there, including brochures and other product material.
The eBay auction ends tomorrow at midnight (9:00 PM if you're on America's west coast). Bidding has reached $10,200, and there's still plenty of time to get in on this future classic. The vehicle is located in Millstone Township, NJ.

Toyota fears supplier pressure in Australia with GM pull out

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

With Ford and General Motors both announcing an end to production in Australia, the country's auto industry is in a bad way. With the exit of two big players, there's increased concern that a third Australian manufacturer, Toyota, will be forced out, as well.
"We are saddened to learn of GM Holden's decision. This will place unprecedented pressure on the local supplier network and our ability to build cars in Australia," Toyota Australia said in a statement. The GM closure of Holden production will be the direct end to 2,900 jobs, but will also force a dramatic reduction in the size of the country's supplier network, as there will simply be fewer cars to build.
In the same statement, Toyota Australia said it would work with suppliers and local government to figure out whether continuing production Down Under was even feasible. According to Automotive News, a representative for the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union told reporters it was "highly likely" that Toyota would also close up shop within the next few years.

Focus STs for SEMA include Lotus and Gulf liveries, rally-fied police car

Tue, 22 Oct 2013

Ford, as we mentioned on Saturday, is pulling out all the stops for November's SEMA show, bringing 57 vehicles to the Las Vegas event. Ford will be staggering the release of its SEMA flotilla, though, so expect to hear a lot about the new additions to the fleet in the weeks to come. We already showed you the Fiesta, Fiesta ST and Mustang models that made up the first batch of SEMA cars. Next up, we have a quartet of modded Focus STs joining Ford's SEMA roster.
Our first Focus ST (pictured above) sports the legendary livery of Gulf Racing. The orange-on-blue scheme, which Ford helped make famous at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, has been updated for 2013, with a more vibrant blue. This ST was built by Universal Technical Institute, while the exterior was done by Neil Tjin of Tjin Edition. Side exhausts, a Vortech supercharger and a Motiv Concepts high-flow cat allow the ST to breathe a bit easier, while Forgestar wheels contrast well with the iconic paint scheme.
Focus ST number two has been done-up by PM Lifestyle and is inspired by "Southern California car culture." Sporting a sleek, pale blue paint job, there's also no shortage of carbon fiber on the car's exterior. The 2.0-liter, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine has been massaged by the likes of Banks Power, COBB Tuning and Ford Racing, while the suspension is wearing a shiny, new set of coilovers and sway bars. The meaty brakes, tucked behind 19-inch, Rotiform wheels, come from Wilwood, while the cabin has been fitted with a pair of Sparco Chrono seats and five-point, Schroth harnesses.
