46 Ford Pickup With Title Ratrod Project Patina on 2040-cars

1946 Ford pickup. I have a clean Missouri title in my name. The V.I.N. on the title matches the number on the frame and the transmission. You will get a frame that is in good shape, the rear of the frame has some damage to the cross member and the rear frame rails have bit of damage. I don't think it is very serious and could be fixed easily. There is a banjo rear end mounted in the frame, it spins freely. I will include an 8.8 Ford rear end with 3:73 gears and a limited slip that came out of a 96 Explorer with a 5.0. I have two drive shafts, one for the 8.8 and another one that came with the truck. The front axle is a straight axle with drum brakes. The brakes do not work on the front or rear. I have it sitting on four tires that hold air so that it can be rolled around. The cab is in need of work, there are no floors except where the seat should be, there is no seat or interior of any kind. I have braced up the cab and tack welded the doors shut to help keep the cab in shape. It has a dash and instrument panel, though the gauges are in sad shape. The steering column has been removed I will include it but it is not really any good. There is no door glass and the window and door latches are inoperative and may be missing most of the mechanisms. There are no door handles. The right side windshield is there but foggy, the drivers side windshield is missing. Some of the windshield frame is still there. The rear glass is missing. The bed needs a floor and has a lot of dents and dings, the tailgate is there but has no way of making it functional without some fabrication work. The bed will need to be braced and rebuilt. The rear fenders are missing. There are no tail lights. The truck has no wiring or electrical system at all. The front clip has fenders and inner fenders and a grill. They are all dented and are in need of work, it does have headlights I don't know if they are any good though. I have running boards, they are in need of work. This truck needs everything, it is truly a project and it is completely covered with surface rust, I planned to make it a rat rod, but time and funding problems have forced my hand. I have other projects going so it is time to thin the herd. Please keep in mind that this is a disassembled non running vehicle that will need everything to make it roadworthy. There is no engine included but I do have the original transmission with V.I.N. stamped on it that matches the frame, I do not know the condition of the transmission. I have other parts that came with the truck that i will include, some of them may be useful others not so much. This truck will need to be towed. since it is in numerous pieces the buyer will need to come pick it up. I will help you load it, but the buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. Sold as is where is. Feel free to ask any questions, if I haven't covered it here.

Aussie Ford Falcon GT shows its rear end to Lamborghini Gallardo
Sun, 27 Apr 2014When Ford Australia announces, as it did recently, that it wants to celebrate the end of its Ford Performance Vehicle division with a Falcon FPV GT-F that celebrates big-bore origins of the nameplate, it's talking about the kind of car in this video.
At some point the classic Falcon GT - said to be an XY series - was invited to a test of acceleration against a Lamborghini Gallardo. At the very least, the Falcon GT had a 351 cubic-inch motor and 300 horsepower, but whatever this guy's got under the hood of his yellow sedan makes has him so confident that he doesn't even move his elbow from its resting place on the door.

Ford F-Series Super Duty prototype reduced to smoldering mess of aluminum and steel [UPDATE]
Mon, 04 Aug 2014The most important bit of information you need to know after looking through our high-res gallery of images depicting a prototype 2016 Ford F-Series Super Duty pickup truck burning to the ground is that nobody was hurt. There were two engineers inside the vehicle when it caught fire, and both exited to safety.
That's the good news. The bad news is that the truck, which appears to have been testing in Death Valley, appears to be a total loss, minus, of course, whatever information Ford can glean from the conflagration - particularly tracing it back to its root cause. Besides that, we're also expecting the body of the next Super Duty to be hewn from aluminum, as is the case with its smaller brother, the brand-new F-150. Note the little aluminum droppings littering the roadway as apparent proof of that.
Our spy photographers report that it took just 21 minutes for the F-Series Super Duty to burn completely to the ground. The fire appears to have started in the driver-side front wheel well, spreading to engulf the entire front end in three minutes. We can't confirm the source of the blaze, but we're curious if the car's black vinyl cladding, meant to obscure the secrets within, contributed to the fire.
Focus STs for SEMA include Lotus and Gulf liveries, rally-fied police car
Tue, 22 Oct 2013Ford, as we mentioned on Saturday, is pulling out all the stops for November's SEMA show, bringing 57 vehicles to the Las Vegas event. Ford will be staggering the release of its SEMA flotilla, though, so expect to hear a lot about the new additions to the fleet in the weeks to come. We already showed you the Fiesta, Fiesta ST and Mustang models that made up the first batch of SEMA cars. Next up, we have a quartet of modded Focus STs joining Ford's SEMA roster.
Our first Focus ST (pictured above) sports the legendary livery of Gulf Racing. The orange-on-blue scheme, which Ford helped make famous at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, has been updated for 2013, with a more vibrant blue. This ST was built by Universal Technical Institute, while the exterior was done by Neil Tjin of Tjin Edition. Side exhausts, a Vortech supercharger and a Motiv Concepts high-flow cat allow the ST to breathe a bit easier, while Forgestar wheels contrast well with the iconic paint scheme.
Focus ST number two has been done-up by PM Lifestyle and is inspired by "Southern California car culture." Sporting a sleek, pale blue paint job, there's also no shortage of carbon fiber on the car's exterior. The 2.0-liter, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine has been massaged by the likes of Banks Power, COBB Tuning and Ford Racing, while the suspension is wearing a shiny, new set of coilovers and sway bars. The meaty brakes, tucked behind 19-inch, Rotiform wheels, come from Wilwood, while the cabin has been fitted with a pair of Sparco Chrono seats and five-point, Schroth harnesses.
