Don't steer clear that this Jeep has 360,000 miles... I have had Jeeps only for years.....this one runs EXCELLENT, has plenty of power. Don't be fooled I have owned the truck for 3 years and it has yet to fail me. Anyone who knows about Jeeps know that this truck is getting harder to find at a reasonable price. The body is straight except for one small (quarter size) dent on the right rear panel. It will need new Freon, but the AC pump works fine. The pump is factory original not after-market. The interior is in perfect condition, no tears or stains on the seats. Shifts smoothly, 4wd runs excellent. The reason I'm selling it below market value is because my wife and I are moving and cannot take both of my trucks, ( I am also listing a 26 year old Classic Jeep Comanche Eliminator) I also have a wood grain instruments bezel I will throw in for the Cherokee. |

Chrysler extending production of current Dodge Avenger, Jeep Wrangler, Grand Caravan
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Are you hesitant to pull the trigger on a brand new Dodge Avenger in hopes that a new one will be coming? Well, don't hold your breath. According to The Detroit News, Chrysler will be extending production of the current Avenger sedan through the end of 2015.
Originally, we heard that the company would kill the Avenger to better focus its midsize sedan efforts on the Chrysler 200 replacement. But then new reports stated there would indeed be an Avenger successor, and that we could see it as early as next January. This Detroit News report cites supplier sources confirming the extension of Avenger production, though Chrysler has not released an official statement on the matter.
These same suppliers say that the current Jeep Wrangler will live on through mid-2018 - that's right, another five years. The Detroit News reports that a replacement for the iconic, go-anywhere Jeep was due in mid-2016.
2015 Ford F-150 named Truck of Texas, Lincoln and Jeep also awarded at Truck Rodeo
Tue, 14 Oct 2014The Ford Motor Company has a lot of reasons to celebrate after winning eight categories in this year's Texas Auto Writers Association's annual Truck Rodeo. Most important among them, the Blue Oval's latest 2015 Ford F-150 earned the prestigious Truck of Texas award, ending the Ram 1500's two-year winning streak. The 2015 Lincoln MKC also grabbed the honor as the CUV of Texas, and Ford was named Truck Line of Texas.
FoMoCo even took trophies for best technology with its extensive use of aluminum on its latest F-Series and best commercial vehicle for the new Transit 250. It wasn't a total sweep, though, because the Jeep Grand Cherokee grabbed the title of the SUV of Texas for the fifth straight time.
This year's event put 60 auto writers in 75 pickups, SUVs and crossovers and challenged them to find the best in a plethora of categories. All of the winners are listed below, and scroll down to read the full announcements from the Texas Auto Writers Association and Ford.

Wed, 09 Jul 2014I got a text message from Editor-In-Chief Sharon Carty one afternoon proclaiming that her new favorite SUV is our long-term 2014 Jeep Cherokee. And she's not alone. I'm not sure if anyone else on staff would go so far as to use the "favorite" descriptor, but after just over a month of honeymooning with our new long-termer, it's safe to say that the Jeep is quickly finding its way into the good graces of a number of Autoblog staffers.
There's good reason for all that praise, too. Thus far, the Jeep has proven itself to be incredibly competent and comfortable for daily life - it's functional, quiet, and packed with a host of amenities that make it easy to live with. It's been wholly trouble-free (with less than 4,000 miles on the clock as of this writing, it ought to be), but even nitpicks have been few and far between.
