2012/2013 Jeep Wrangler Look-a-like in Gecko Green
You are looking at a 1999 Jeep Wrangler Sport. This vehicle has been reworked and modeled to be identical to the new 2012 and 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport painted in the new Gecko Green color. This jeep has the same wheels and tires (17" wheels on 32" tires) from a 2013 Wrangler as well as a repaint in the brand new Gecko Green special edition color. This jeep is a REAL HEAD TURNER!!! Only a well trained eye can tell that this is not a brand new $30,000 Jeep wrangler.
If you have always wanted a brand new Wrangler, but just could not justify the cost, this is your chance to beat the system!
This Jeep has the following features:
- brand new paint - Chrysler's Gecko Green!
- new carpet throughout (BedRug kits)
- New Bestop seat covers
- new wheels and tires
- current PA inspection
- Hard Top
- Full steel doors
- clean frame and undercarriage
- 5 speed manual transmission
- 4.0L 6 cylinder engine (all Jeep enthusiast know this engine is bulletproof and good for at LEAST 250,000 miles- ask one!)
- Head Turning stunning good looks!
These pictures do not do this Jeep justice. Have a look at a new Jeep painted in the Gecko Green color. It is just amazing looking!
This jeep was previously a tan color. This color can still be seen on some parts in the interior and under the hood. As you can see by the pictures, you can not see it unless you are searching for it. Also, there are various tiny imperfections in the paint due to it being a repaint and the imperfection in the original body, but you really do not see it unless you are looking super closely for them. Just standing there looking at the Jeep, you will think it is a 2012 or 2013 Wrangler.

First Jeepster prototype spotted with final, boxy form
Thu, 23 Jan 2014The long-awaited baby Jeep is getting closer to production, as evidenced by these spy photos. Previously, the only images of the so-called Jeepster saw it wearing a Fiat 500L body (see below), while this new batch of photos show hefty amounts of camouflage. How is that better? Well, it's very likely there's a production body hiding under all that cladding.
While picking out styling details is virtually impossible thanks to all the camo, as our spies point out, this gives us a very sound idea of the Jeepster's final size. It's small, although we'd argue that it's only slightly smaller than the current Jeep Patriot, based on the images of the newest Jeep sitting in front of an Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
As we reported previously, this little bambino will be built on a Fiat platform, but the styling should be uniquely Jeep - likely to include a somewhat vertical seven-slat grille and round headlights. We can expect to see a production Jeepster, if that ends up being the actual name (Latitude has been rumored, although as that's traditionally a trim level, we imagine there'd be some confusion), when it debuts at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
YouTube tallies votes for this year's top five Super Bowl spots [w/video]
Tue, 19 Feb 2013When we asked you to tell us which of this year's 16 car-themed Super Bowl commercials you liked best, you chose the Farmer commercial from Chrysler Group, advertising the Ram trucks, over Audi's Prom commercial in second place. Turns out the voters in YouTube's Ad Blitz poll agreed, voting the same commercial to the number one spot from among the field commercials in every category.
From there, however, they went in a totally different direction. Budweiser's The Clydesdales spot came second, Samsung's The Next Big Thing took third. The Jeep Whole Again ad scored fourth in the YouTube poll, fifth in our poll of auto commercials, and the Hyundai Team spot got fifth from the YouTubers, but ninth in our poll.
The voting results don't match up with the viewing numbers, though - while Farmer has more than 13 million views, The Next Big Thing is well beyond 21 million. You can read the press release below and see all five spots, lined up for you, one more time.
Jeepster name may be used for Fiat-based baby Jeep
Tue, 17 Dec 2013In 1948, Willys-Overland, the forbearers of Jeep, built a vehicle called the Jeepster. It was a funky little thing, designed as a mix of the more rugged Jeeps that came before with what was then a modern car, which arguably makes it the world's first crossover. The name was later revived from 1966 to 1972, which means for Jeep enthusiasts, it has some history.
Now, the modern Jeep brand may revive the Jeepster name for a new product, likely based on Fiat bones, that will slot in at the bottom of the brand's range underneath the soon-to-depart Compass and Patriot. The report comes from Australia's Drive, which cites a dealer source that has seen the vehicle.
That same dealer confirmed there is a link between the Jeepster and the rumored Fiat 500X, and that the former will be available in both front and all-wheel-drive variants. The source also claims both gas and diesel engines will be available, although as this is an Aussie site, we shouldn't take that to mean we'll get a diesel Jeepster in the US.
