2002 - Lamborghini Murcielago on 2040-cars

I'm listing my 2002 Murcielago for sale. It currently has 36k miles. Nero Pegaso (Black) over Nero Alcantara interior. Rear Wheel Drive conversion. Full Fabspeed exhaust with secondary cat deletes, car sounds amazing! Books and MED Alarm codes and second key and fob. Very good service history with over 20 pages of receipts including just having the valve adjustment completed along with all new plugs. Clutch has been replaced approximately 7500 miles ago and feels very good. No slipping what so ever. Car underwent PPI just 600 miles ago including compression test and shows excellent numbers. DynoJet dyno made 475 RWHP & 425 RWTQ. The engine is definitely strong and the numbers prove it. Alpine stereo system including amp and sub professionally installed as well as a Beltronics Radar/Laser/Jammer system integrated into the center console. Clear-Bra installed on the front bumper, hood and front fenders. Paint shows well but does have minor imperfections. Recently underwent a full machine buff and polish and the black shines like a diamond. Tinted windows. Factory Speedline wheels, wheels have some nicks in the finish from use. Tires are all good, but don't have a lot of life left. There are a few small issues with the car. PPI showed light seapage around rear differential. This is seapage only, I've yet to have a single drop on my garage floor. I'm told by the tech that this is fairly common trait of the early 6.2 cars. The Clear-Bra has a small area just below the passenger head light where it is somewhat hazy. I was unable to polish it out. It's not a big eyesore, but it is there. Lastly, I've gotten a few intermittent CEL lights. These are PO111 & PO112. I've only seen this 3 times and you can drive 100+ miles without a CEL. It's caused by the air inlet temps reading below parameters. Now obviously this is a false signal as when it's 70 degrees outside there is no way the engine is seeing below zero air temps as it suggests. I've spoken with a tech in regards to this and it is likely a ground and very possible something disturbed when the valve adjustment was performed.

Lamborghini owner parks Countach near London Tower Bridge, everyone freaks
Fri, 10 Oct 2014With its razor-sharp wedge shape, high performance and minuscule ride height, the Lamborghini Countach has always been a supercar made to be gawked at and grab attention. Even the model's name supposedly comes from an Italian exclamation. But not all recognition is positive, as is the case with this Lamborghini illegally parked within sight of London's famed Tower Bridge.
According to The Telegraph, this white Countach was reportedly abandoned after running out of fuel, blocking a lane in the process. In that time, someone apparently attempted to scratch off part of its no-parking sticker. In the end, the supercar was hooked up and lifted onto a flatbed truck to be towed away, drawing a sizable crowd in the process. Those interviewed seemed pretty upset and mystified that someone would illegally park the car there.
According to The Telegraph, the owner was traced via license plate, whereupon it was discovered there was a warrant out for his arrest on harassment charges. He was subsequently arrested in London and later released on bail. Sadly, there's no word yet on whether the classic Lamborghini was released with its owner or if its angular self is sitting in an impound lockup somewhere.
Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo makes official debut at the Quail
Sat, 16 Aug 2014Racing fans, meet Lamborghini's newest track weapon, the Huracán LP620-2 Super Trofeo. Designed for the one-make Blancpain Super Trofeo series, the Huracán picks up where its predecessor, the Gallardo, left off.
Its engine bay is home to a ten-cylinder, much like the road-going Huracán. Unlike the coupe, the racer boasts 620 horsepower, up just ten ponies from the LP610-4. But - and as buts go, this is a big one - the Super Trofeo tips the scales at just 2,800 pounds, nearly 400 pounds less than the standard model, thanks to the removal of the all-wheel-drive system. That's right, this Lambo sends its power to the rear wheels.
Aside from the single drive axle, Lamborghini has upgraded the car's aerodynamics, offering gentlemen racers the option of ten different settings for the rear wing, as well as new front and rear diffusers and adjustable front air intakes. Lambo has also fitted specially formatted Pirelli race rubber, and gotten development help from the racing gurus at Dallara Engineering.
Volkswagen Group names Paefgen head of classics program
Tue, 04 Oct 2011You may remember the name Franz-Josef Paefgen. Until recently, the German engineer and executive was head of both Bentley and Bugatti. Before that he was chief executive of Audi, after working for several years at Ford. He technically "retired" earlier this year, but like the cars he helped create, an executive like Paefgen could never really retire. So it should come as little surprise that the Volkswagen Group has named Dr. Paefgen head of its Classic program.
In his new capacity, Paefgen will oversee the historic automobile activities of the entire VW Group, including those of Volkswagen, Seat, Skoda, Audi, Lamborghini, and of course Bentley and Bugatti. It strikes us as a suitable semi-retirement for the man responsible in no small part for the Bugatti Veyron and Bentley Mulsanne, to name just two, and who was decorated in 2006 by the ACO as the "Spirit of Le Mans" for his contribution to endurance racing.
