*1995* Mazda Rx-7 Base Coupe 2-door 1.3l on 2040-cars
Manor, Texas, United States
'95 RX-7 (5 spd). Power steering, cold A/C, Serious inquiries ONLY. Car
has About 58,500 miles, on ORIGINAL engine, Very Clean. Black Interior.
Only 500 '95 models ever imported to the US.
Current Mods (Mostly for reliability purposes): - Apexi Power-FC w/ Commander (also have the origin ECU) - Upgraded Fuel Pump (Nippon Denso OEM Part for R34 Nissan Skyline GTR) - HKS (heat wrapped) down-pipe - Pettit Racing upgraded blow-off valve - M2 Cold-air Intake (also have the original air box) - Koyo Dual-Core Radiator - Blitz Nur-spec cat-back exhaust (also have a "Tanabe Touring Medallion" cat-back, and the stock muffler which can be swapped in upon request of the buyer). - Boost Gauge mounted on steering column using a Pettit Racing column guage mount. - B&M Short Shifter - Seibon Carbon Fiber Vented Hood (DS Style) - Upgraded grounding points. The car runs beautifully and has been used as my Daily Driver since I purchased it in 2006. The modifications above were performed as soon as I had gotten the car (around 18,500 miles on the odo). Before that it was owned by only one other person who purchased the car in 2003 from a Seattle Mazda dealership and he mostly let it sit in his garage. From 1995-2003 this car was actually used by Mazda as a test vehicle for recall purposes. I have all original documentation and records from the dealership and original owner. As far as maintenance goes I've given it new plugs and oil every 6 months whether it needed it or not. Brake fluid changed every year and AC has recently been recharged and wheels aligned last year. Now the here's the kicker... As you can tell from the pics the front bumper, fenders, and hood are NOT original. Thanks to a slight fender bender with a truck. Unfortunately he didn't have insurance and I didn't have full coverage. That being said the two front bumper mounting brackets had to be replaced as well as the bumper cover, headlight covers, hood and front fenders. The frame is straight as an arrow and the airbags were not deployed. Please let me know if you have any specific questions regarding any aspect of this car, I will be happy to answer them in a timely manner. It saddens me to have to get rid of it, but with a kid on the way 2 seats just wont cut it. Thank you so much for looking at my auction and happy bidding. *More Pics and Videos Available upon Request* *$1000 deposit is required within 24 hours of winning the auction* *Shipping* Buyer is responsible for shipping |

Mazda reports highest profits in its 94-year history
Fri, 25 Apr 2014We may only be a third of the way through 2014, but for Japanese companies, March 31 marked the end of fiscal 2014, and it was a banner financial year for Mazda's global operations. The Japanese independent saw its highest global operating profits in its nearly 100-year history. Its global operating profits were up a huge 238 percent. Yes, a 238 percent increase over 2012 to 1.36 billion euros ($1.88 billion), eclipsing the brand's previous best year, 2008, by 12 percent. Net earnings, revenue and global sales volume also saw increases over the last fiscal year.
What's most impressive, though, is where Mazda saw improvement. The notoriously rough European market was rather kind to the Zoom-Zoom brand, where sales increased 25 percent to 163,000 units. That figure was bolstered by a 35-percent sales increase in Great Britain and a 20-percent jump in Germany, Europe's two largest markets. Japanese sales, meanwhile, were up a respectable 13 percent, to 244,000 units. In China, Mazda saw a 12 percent bump.
Notice we aren't talking about North American sales? That's because Mazda only saw a moderate, five-percent gain in the New World, with sales climbing to 391,000 units in the US, Canada and Mexico. This is particularly disappointing considering Mazda has launched three critically acclaimed products (CX-5, Mazda6 and most recently, Mazda3) for the North American market over the past two fiscal years. Still, it isn't a particular reason to be concerned, as IHS industry analyst Stephanie Brinley notes. "Five percent isn't terrible," Brinley told Autoblog, saying that Mazda should see a bump in 2014 as the Mazda3 picks up steam.
Mazda CX-5 getting mild refresh
Thu, 14 Aug 2014Mazda has found both critical and commercial success with its CX-5 small crossover, and seems to be endeavoring to keep the momentum up with an upcoming refresh. As you can extrapolate from the obvious lack of the usual camouflage, the company isn't reinventing anything in the very near future of the CX-5, but it does seem as thought some tweaks are in the works.
Lighting elements fore and aft appear to have gone under the knife, with the front grille and rear fascia also seemingly to be slightly revised. The side mirrors now look slicker and slightly more upscale with their integrated turn signals, as well.
In all, expect a look that's a touch fresher, without being a radical departure from the existing visage.
Mazda CX-3 crossover coming to LA
Tue, 28 Oct 2014The Mazda booth at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show will showcase some new crossovers. In addition to the refreshed CX-5 that we're expecting, the Japanese automaker has announced plans to unveil its new CX-3 compact crossover.
According to Mazda, the brand's entry into the compact CUV market will feature "the full range of SKYACTIV technology and KODO - Soul of Motion design." We take that to mean lightweight chassis and body architectures along with fuel-sipping gasoline and, perhaps, diesel engines.
The CX-3 will have to take on a slew of upcoming competitors, including the Honda HR-V, Chevrolet Trax and Jeep Renegade, and reports indicate it will share a platform with the Mazda2, which is just starting production in Mexico. We don't yet know if it will be front-wheel drive only or if all-wheel drive will be optional. The CUV is also likely to share the Mazda2's engine, which isn't yet revealed for the North American market. Japan gets the 2 with either a 1.3-liter gasoline engine or a 1.5-liter diesel.
