This mercedes has only 63 K original miles. There was an issue with engine and I had it replaced with a rebuilt one. Also to make sure that all component work truble free in future, either I had them replaced with OEM new one or, rebuilt and serviced them.

For examle :Rotors, brake flexible hooses, rear shocks and coil springs, starter, trunk and hood seals, the exhust system, clutch and pressure plate, clutch master sylinder and slave sylinder, were all changed with OEM new ones. Also radio was replaced with a cd, mp3 player. Radiator , heater core and fuel tank were cleaned profetionally.

Transmission and rear end were serviced. Anyway, other parts of this vehicle like seats, are in excellent shape, dash is in goog shape exept clock that works on and off, speedometer recently calibrated and works fine, autometer works too (showing exact miles on rebuilt engine), tires are good, front end of the vehicle is been fixed and aligned, paint is good except couple of spots that of course you don't notice it in the pictures, can be touched up. This kind of antic vehicles normally statr rusting around the head lights, wich ofcourse this one is rust free in that area, nor at floor. It still has original floor mat. Also you don't notice jack wholes, because the rocking pannel is covered with a galvenized sheet metal. Spare tire is original one and is good. Anyway you can immagine how much money is spent to make it dependable, and during last year that I was driving it there has not been any prblem with it .you can drive it anywhere even cross country.it has low fuel consumption and hassel free. Please feel free to ask any question due to fact that this is a final sale. I started this auction with no reserve and small start. This is not a regular used car, I am sure after many years driving it, you can get most of your money back, or hopefully you leave it for your grand children.   Good Luck.

Why all of this year's F1 noses are so ugly [w/video]

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

If you're a serious fan of Formula One, you already know all about The Great Nosecone Conundrum of 2014. Those given to parsing each year's F1 regulations predicted the strong possibility of the so-called "anteater" noses as far back as early December 2013. Highly suggestive visual evidence first came after Caterham's crash test in early January, with further proof coming as soon as Williams showed a rendering of the FW36 challenger for this year's championship. That car earned a name that wasn't nearly so kind as "anteater."
Casual followers of the sport - or anyone who gets the feed from this site - probably don't know what's happening, except to wonder why the current year's F1 cars are led by appendages that would make Cyrano de Bergerac feel a whole lot better about himself.
The short answer to the question of ugsome F1 noses is "FIA regulations and safety." The reason there are various kinds of ugsome noses is simpler: engineers. The same boffins who have given us advances including carbon fiber monocoques, six-wheeled cars, double diffusers and Drag Reduction Systems are bred to do everything in their power to exploit every possible freedom in the regulations to make the cars they're building go faster - the caveat being that those advances have to work within the overall philosophy of the whole car.

Mercedes-Benz introduces new heavy security M-Class Guard model

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a new addition to the company's line of personal security vehicles. The M-Class Guard features bullet-proof side windows made with special laminated glazing and a polycarbonate inner layer to protect occupants from shards of glass. Mercedes says the M-Class Guard meets protection level VR4 according to the Bullet Resistant Vehicles 2009 standards, based on testing from the independent Ulm-based Ballistics Bureau, which means it can withstand .357 Magnum and .44 fire from multiple angles. It can also stand up to the DM51 hand grenade when equipped with optional floor armoring. Why skimp?
Buyers looking for protection from the world's literal slings and arrows can opt for the ML350 BlueTEC with its 258 horsepower 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine. With 457 pound-feet of torque, the oil-burner should have no trouble hustling the privileged class about. Of course, the ML500 offers a bit more punch courtesy of a 4.6-liter twin-turbo V8 with 408 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. Prices start at 105,050 euros for the diesel and 118,650 euros for the V8. You can check out the full press release below for more information.

Race Recap: 2013 Japanese Grand Prix flips several scripts [spoilers]

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

Japan's Suzuka circuit is a great track that all the drivers love, but it doesn't usually provide the most thrilling, head-to-head racing. Where it does excel, however, is with surprises and "What just happened there?!" moments, and this year it was no different.
It started with Mark Webber in his Infiniti Red Bull Racing out-qualifying his teammate Sebastian Vettel for the first time this year. They were followed closely by Lewis Hamilton in the first Mercedes-AMG Petronas, the still-solid Romain Grosjean again outdoing teammate Kimi Räikkönen, Felipe Massa racing for another seat in Formula One and putting his Ferrari in fifth, then Nico Rosberg in the second Mercedes, Nico Hülkenberg in the first Sauber, Fernando Alonso in the second Ferrari, and Räikkönen continuing to do himself no favors by qualifying tenth.
For the second year in a row, the lights going out was the cue to start the first corner action...
