Selling a 1970 Mercedes 220D, 4 speed manual transmission. Fully restored! I am the second owner. I have all documentation for the last 40+ years and receipts to show all work performed on car over the years. Car has been garaged all its life. The interior you see is the original interior. EVERYTHING WORKS. Factory Blaupunkt radio works like it should. Car is in perfect running condition. I had engine rebuilt by a retired Mercedes tech. Roughly engine has 30K mile on it and it is smooth and strong. Transmission received a new clutch when I rebuilt the engine and all gears go in silky smooth. Brakes were redone about six months ago. Car was re-painted, including under the hood, all door jams. All rust was repaired and everything is flawless! I had car stripped down, all glass removed, all molding taken off, door handles, seals, bumpers, etc. The paint is a factory Mercedes paint, slight metallic finish to it. Factory wheels re-painted, (including trunk). Front seats have been re-cushioned, rear are very good shape. Dash is flawless, no cracks, Cluster works perfectly, all electrical works great. Euro headlights work well (even fog lights). Carpets are near perfect. Driver is slightly worn. Second set of factory carpets are in good shape.
This car is excellent condition and needs nothings. Ready to be driven anywhere! I receive many compliments.
Things replaced on car:
1. All new front and rear glass seals
2. All new door seals
3. All new molding clips and rocker arm molding clips
4. New grill rubber seal
5. New hoses and belt
6. radiator re-done
7. New clutch and clutch slave (six months ago)
8. New Factory Mercedes battery (eight months ago)
9. All five wheels re-painted.
10. Trunk has been re-painted and treated with anti rust sealant.
11. Repaired dash clock.
12. New Bilstein shocks in front, rear near new set as well.
13. New rear suspension coils (no sagging from rear!!)
14 New battery cables (year ago)
I have the factory tools, all the manuals, three set or master keys. I also have all the receipts of the maintenance over the years (including the original owner's information plate)

EVO "2012 Car of the Year: The Track Battles" is a sports car salmagundi
Sun, 25 Nov 2012EVO has come out with another gotta-watch-it video, throwing its 2012 Car of the Year contestants around the UK's 1.5-mile Blyton Park track. It's actually a 15-minute teaser for the full-length DVD detailing the magazine's Car of the Year selection, but the tease is worth every penny free second.
Tiff Needell and sports car racer Richard Meaden handle the wheel duties, the two driving five pairs of sports cars: Lotus Exige S vs. Porsche Boxster S, Morgan Three-Wheeler vs. Toyota GT86, BMW M135i vs. Porsche 911, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series vs. Alpina B3 GT3, the marquee event pits the McLaren MP4-12C vs. the Pagani Huayra. After a head-to-head lap with commentary during drifts, Meaden takes each car out to set a representative lap time.

Mercedes says it's tops in luxury sales for 2012, not BMW
Tue, 19 Feb 2013It turns out that Mercedes-Benz North America has legitimate claim to being the top selling luxury nameplate in the US in 2012.
While sources such as Autodata had put BMW in the top spot, registration data from R.L. Polk shows that Mercedes customers registering new vehicles topped the Bavarian automaker in the most recent calendar year. Polk says Benz posted 274,123 registrations, compared with BMW's 268,498.
In terms of sales posted, BMW had bested Benz 281,460 to 274,134. But sales are recorded somewhat inconsistently from automaker to automaker. Some book the sales as soon as they are shipped from factory to dealer. There is perennial gamesmanship between the two German rivals, and the sales numbers suggest that BMW pushed out some extra sheetmetal to dealers in the last four weeks of the year.
Mercedes-Benz CLA stars in sweeping short with supermodel Karlie Kloss
Wed, 16 Jan 2013The Mercedes-Benz CLA earned itself a spot on our list of the top five unveils of the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, and for good reason. The German luxury compact is the first small car from the Silver Arrow that looks suitably premium inside and out. Nowness.com has turned out a new video of the CLA featuring super model Karlie Koss in the lead role. We aren't entirely sure what the premise is, but from what we can tell, it looks as if the CLA comes to life and proceeds to be a giant jerk.
After Koss stops to take a closer look at a white horse, the CLA gives the supermodel the old stop-and-go treatment before leaving her on the side of the road. Eventually, the sedan makes nice, but Koss has to ride shotgun instead of taking the controls herself. You can check out the video below to see for yourself.
