Barn Find. This is a beautiful example of a magnificent body style. This car drives amazing. It was a one owner for 28 years until i just picked it up. They were driving it 40 miles approx per month just to run it for the past 10 years. I changed the tires they are new i changed the oil as well. I cant say enough about the quality of how it looks and drives. Everything works as it should this is a very cool car. And the ride is amazing tight no rattle at all tracks on the road exceptionally well. I am not detailing the car as you can see in the photos this is only a car wash. I didnt want to clean the engine or anything that could do more harm than good. The exterior has a few scratches and the interior on the driver seat has some wear. The buttons are not worn at all. clearly this car can speak for itself. I also pointed out rust on the valance that is the only spot. trunk is perfect as under the hood as well. The wood in the car is beautiful aside from the previous owner re glued the center piece where the climate control is. This original car can be seen anytime i am in love with it and driving it. Daimler buying 12% stake in Beijing Auto
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Daimler and Beijing Automotive are officially going steady, with the German company set to take a 12-percent stake in the Chinese brand tomorrow. The two are already tied up in a Mercedes engine plant in Beijing, of which BAIC will increase its stake in, from 50 to 51 percent. Daimler will also get two seats on the Chinese company's board. BAIC may also gain the ability to produce cars on Mercedes-Benz platforms, according to Automotive News Europe.
The investment in BAIC comes ahead of that company's initial public offering, according to a report form Bloomberg, which indicates the deal will be inked tomorrow in the Chinese capital. According to the report, if the circumstances are right, BAIC may turn around and invest in the Germany company "soon."
It's not entirely clear just how much the 12-percent cut is costing Daimler, although it seems reasonable to assume that, as it's ahead of the IPO, the parent company of Mercedes is getting a bit of a bargain.
Next Mercedes-Benz C-Class to get diesel, hybrid versions
Tue, 16 Apr 2013Mercedes-Benz is planning a more aggressive product strategy for its next-generation C-Class range. "We were fighting the 3 Series with two arms tied behind our back, and now we will change that," Steve Cannon, the automaker's US CEO, told Automotive News in a recent interview.
In addition to offering more body styles of the new C-Class, AN reports that the revamped Mercedes will also be offered here with hybrid and diesel powertrains. Currently, the C-Class comes in coupe and sedan variants, with only gasoline engines. The BMW 3 Series, however, is available as a sedan, coupe, convertible and wagon, and offers buyers the choice of gasoline, diesel (the upcoming 328d) or hybrid power.
Mercedes-Benz will show the next-generation C-Class at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, with sales of the US-built sedan following in August. Coupe, convertible and hybrid models will follow in early 2015, and while diesel and all-wheel-drive versions are planned, no specific timetable has been released regarding availability.
