Hello,

Up for bid is a 2000 Tuned Mercedes-Benz S500 with 97,000 Miles. I am the 2nd owner of this car and mainly used it to go to and from work, it has no accidents, runs really well and looks great. I have the original headlights to this vehicle but put in aftermarket ones and painted the rims, as well as the emblem, grill and bumper guards to a black chrome color. The tires were balanced recently are at 70% tread. The mileage on the car is 97 thousand. It's color is Black Opal but it looks like midnight blue, it is an original paint and the interior is gray.

- The limiters are unlocked
- The ECU is chipped
- MAF sensor is upgraded from an S55
-
The front seats are ventilated and have the massage feature
- Updated Command center to an (updated 2003) aftermarket version that looks like the original but it has touchscreen with a remote and it also works with the steering wheel controls and can play music or youtube using bluetooth via your phone and also have the original. It also seconds as a DVD player where you can watch a movie and use navigation at the same time and you can also load up movies on a micro SD and insert it into the Command Center.
- The air matic suspension works and raises as well as lowers the car with the push of a button.
- The brakes have also been changed a few months ago and I have a spare in the arm rest for the rear.
- I bought it with a non working moon roof and never got around to seeing whether it's the motor or rack that's misaligned but I don't smoke so it never bothered me and I left it as is.
- The steering wheel was upgraded to wood and leather from all leather and the rear lights are from an 03 and tinted. The subwoofer may not be connected properly from the installation of the command but it still gives off thumps while listening to music.

This is a very well kept car, I just changed my oil last week and will be changing my transmission fluid this Saturday as well as the sway bar because it gives off a knocking noise. The car has been maintained by a Mercedes-Benz mechanic it's whole life and has not given me any issues in the 3 and a half years or so that I have had it. Any questions just shoot me an e-mail. Also if it's possible I would rather not go through the hassle of shipping the car anywhere, if needed I will of course but it's completely at your expense, local pick up preferred.

Forza Horizon announces January Recaro Car Pack with LFA N"urburgring Edition

Wed, 26 Dec 2012

Another month, another car pack for Forza Horizon. This time it's the Recaro Car Pack featuring a motley gang of cars and trucks: the 1983 GMC Vandura G-1500, 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra R, 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV, 2005 Mercedes-Benz SLR, 2012 Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition and 2012 Lotus Exige S.
It'll be up for download on Xbox Live on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 for 400 MS Points. As usual, if you have the Forza Horizon Season Pass you can get them all free, and Season Pass holders will also get a bonus car that's not pictured: the 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster.
The Pagani is everything opposite to that Vandura, but while you might not ever win anything with the van, you can always use the back of it as a place to give out free hugs. Check out the video and press release below for more details.

Mercedes AMG and Cigarette Racing debut 2,220-HP electric motor boat

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

Take the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG E-Cell, stretch it and take off the wheels then make it float and you've basically got the just-unveiled Cigarette AMG Electric Drive Concept. Powered by an all-electric powertrain that offers 2,200 horsepower and 2,213 pound-feet of torque (and uses "numerous components" taken from the not-quite-as-yellow SLS AMG Coupé Electric Drive), the sleek concept is being called the "world's most powerful electric drive powerboat." What that means is a top speed of over 100 miles per hour from four 60-kWh lithium-ion batteries and two banks of six liquid-cooled, permanent-magnet synchronous electric motors. And the 240 kWh of total energy should provide plenty of juice out on the water.
Launched (but not literally) at the Miami International Boat Show today, the Cigarette AMG Electric Drive Concept is the result of a partnership between Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing. The boat is 38 feet long (much longer than the 15-foot SLS) and is plastered with AMG branding on the sides and top of the bow above the matte chrome yellow paint (officially called AMG Electricbeam mango). Two 220-kW chargers can refill the batteries, dockside, in about seven hours.
The idea of a powerful electric boat is nothing new (Henrik Fisker talked about a plug-in hybrid watercraft late last year), but this is the first time we've seen Mercedes put its EV technology on the water. Anyone who's afraid of driving an EV in the rain should take note. Check out the complete press release below.

Paul di Resta returns to DTM with Mercedes

Tue, 21 Jan 2014

Some drivers manage to make the transition from one form of motor racing into another, and some run into trouble. Take Paul di Resta, for example. The promising young Scottish driver dominated Formula 3 racing in Europe in 2006, then moved over to Germany's hugely competitive DTM touring car series where he finished second in 2008, third in 2009 and first in 2010. But things didn't go as smoothly for Paul - cousin to retired Indy champion Dario Franchitti - when he moved in to Formula One with the Force India team.
In three years on the grid, he failed to score a single podium finish. Little surprise, then, that Force India opted not to renew his contract for this season. Left without a ride, di Resta is now going back to DTM with longtime supporter Mercedes-Benz, testing the new C-Class touring car today in Portugal. It's good news for Mercedes, which is celebrating 120 years in motor racing this season and, with 2005 champion Gary Paffett also on board, can now count two former champions on its DTM roster.
We wouldn't count Paul out of F1 for good, though. When he won the DTM title four years ago, he was also moonlighting as Force India's test driver, and we wouldn't be surprised to see him pull similar double-duty with the Mercedes F1 team (or another Benz-powered outfit) this year before spring-boarding back into grand prix racing in the future. At 27 years old, he may not have been the youngest driver on the grid this year, but he's still got a good few years ahead of him.
