This is a good, sound car. Less than 53K original miles on the original stock 400 2bbl.
Clear title, California tags good through June.
Excellent gas mileage for a cruiser like this. Up to 22 mpg if you keep her under 70 mph!
Kept up on oil changes, etc. Always tried to keep mid-grade or premium gasoline in the tank.
The interior is newly reupholstered with a Pioneer stereo/CD player.
I have replaced the wiring, master cylinder, power steering pump, timing belt, harmonic balance, belts and hoses over the last couple or three years.
New thrush muffler, nothing loud but it sounds nice. Good suspension, smooooooth ride!
Decent rubber.
99% rust-free. Clean body, no dents or scratches to speak of.
As for the A/C, I upgraded it to R-134 some time ago but has a leak at the hose assembly behind the compressor.
Needs a horn relay and windshield washer relay, a glove box and paint job.
Even have the original keys!
Have owned this car for over 22 years. One owner before that.

CNN chronicles young girl building Pontiac Fiero
Fri, 26 Oct 2012At fourteen years of age, Kathryn DiMaria has already done what many self-proclaimed gearheads won't even attempt in their lifetimes. The Dearborn, Michigan teen is rebuilding a car from the ground up.
The intrepid youngster asked her parents when she was just twelve to start a Pontiac Fiero project, even offering to pony up all the funds herself. Father, Jerry DiMaria only expected the project to last a few months, but two years later, Kathryn is still at it. In this CNN video, the two are at Maker Faire (a DIY festival) rebuilding a 3.4-liter V6 engine out of a Chevrolet Camaro to replace the 2.8-liter mill found in the Fiero.
The whole family hast pitched in, with Kathryn's mother teaching her how to sew in order to complete the interior, father Jerry providing much of the technical know-how, and even her sister is chronicling Kathryn's progress through photos. Jerry even started a thread in a Fiero forum which has been live for two years and is now 22 pages long. Of the project, one forum member wrote, "welcome to the madness."

This 1927 Oakland is a minimalist hot rod
Fri, 21 Feb 2014There are hundreds of American automakers that sprung up during the dawn of the automotive era, only to fold into obscurity or get gobbled up by what would eventually become the Big Four (yes, we're counting AMC here). Oakland is one such company, which was the forbearer for General Motors' Pontiac division. Sold until 1931, you simply don't see Oakland-badged cars anymore. Unless, that is, you know Brian Bent.
Bent drives a 1927 Oakland that still rides on wooden wheels. Its original wooden wheels, from the sound of it. That makes this anachronist and his Oakland the perfect subject for a Petrolicious video. Like many of the cars highlighted by Petrolicious, this old Oakland has had some work done to it, featuring a Pontiac flathead engine that's been pushed forward and a clutch pack built by Bent.
Take a look below for a closer look at this rare and fascinating Oakland.
