Up for sale is my 2005 GTO 6pd with 400 hp and 400 pounds of torque.  Car has MANY additional items that make this car worth the price.  Added on are KNN air intake, after market exhaust which makes it sound very tough, but not too loud to where its obnoxious.  Car also has some led lights replaced in the back at 6000k color.  I never got around to doing the HID lights in front but if you do make sure you get the 6000k color so it all matches.  The blinkers have the surge protectors in them so the lights blink normally.  Car also has an in dash DVD/CD/MP3/bluetooth with rear view camera which is one of the clearest backup cameras ive ever seen.  My pride and Joy though in this car is the Led lights done in the interior by Bohnman and GTO grilles. (hes like the only one that does this stuff in the country)  All of the lights that normally have that hideous 80s green color, now have a beautiful led bright blue.  That includes the gauges , power windows, and all lights.  Even the DVD player is set to blue so it all matches.  It also have a blue face cover that looks somewhat like a modern honda civic.  The blues are slightly off color, but it def looks great.  All lights in the interior have been replaced with Blue LED lights and to see the car at night is truly amazing. (if you like blue that is)  This car is my daily driver but i have not had the car for long.  Less than a year and ive put about 6000 highway miles on it including multiple trips to Vegas.  In one of the pictures youll actually see one of the speeding tickets I got going the back way to baker from vegas ( i live in california)  and i got up to 140 on the straightaways without even shaking...i didnt go any faster because honestly i was scared at that point!  Long story short, the car drives wonderful and if you live cross country there is nothing that tells me that this car wouldnt make it easily.  I love this car, but my family plans have changed so i must sell it to satisfy a deal i made with the evil one (wife)  Im a disabled army former combat medic veteran, so please take me at my word that this car is truly amazing...yes it has a few cosmetic flaws, but what 8 year old car doesn't.  Please email me any questions that you have.  Shipping and Handling is on you...Im not going to go out of my way to ship this thing....500 is due within 24 hours, rest is due 7 days from purchase date.  If your using paypal, funds WILL clear my bank before I will release the vehicle.  Sorry but a few dipshit scammers have ruined it for the rest of us honest folks.

Thank you and good luck,
Brian

STUDY: Ford owns brand loyalty in 2009; Scorned Saturn, Pontiac buyers will look outside of GM

Fri, 16 Oct 2009

Ford buyers appear to love their cars more than customers of any other automotive brand, returning back to the American automaker when it comes time to purchase their next vehicle. According to a study by Experian Automotive, six of the top 10 vehicles for customer brand loyalty wear badges from the Blue Oval. That includes the Ford Fusion (62.4 percent), Ford Edge (57.9 percent), Ford Five Hundred/Taurus (56 percent), Ford Freestyle (51.9 percent), Ford Escape (49.4 percent) and the Ford Focus (47.57 percent).
Other vehicles making up the top 10 include the Toyota Prius (52 percent), Chevy Impala (51.7 percent), Toyota Camry (47.8 percent) and Toyota Corolla (47.56 percent). This brings up an interesting question: With the closing of automotive brands like Saturn and Pontiac, where are those buyers to turn for their next automotive purchase?
Apparently, not back to General Motors. According to Experian, Pontiac owners are most likely to look to the Ford lineup for their next car or truck and Saturn shoppers will switch to Toyota or Honda - not particularly surprising given that Saturn was meant to compete with import brands. Experian predicts that GM's overall market share will fall from 20 percent to about 17.5 percent, with most of the slack being picked up by Ford, Honda and Toyota.

GM recalling 778,000 Cobalts and G5s, six deaths reported

Thu, 13 Feb 2014

General Motors has announced that it will be recalling 778,562 compact cars after six people were killed in accidents, partially due to the airbags' failure to deploy. An issue with the ignition switch is causing the airbag issues, as well as causing the engine and other components to shut off without warning. The recall covers the 2005 to 2007 model year Chevrolet Cobalt and 2007 Pontiac G5. (Note that the Cobalt pictured above is a 2009 model.)
According to a report from Automotive News, a number of factors can cause the ignition to switch out of the run position, including weights on the key ring, rough or bumpy roads or other "jarring" events. Any of these situations could lead to some vehicle components not functioning properly.
There have been five fatal front-impact crashes that took the lives of six people, although as a GM spokesman noted, all five of the crashes happened off road and at high speed. In each of these cases, though, the lack of airbags wasn't the only lethal factor - alcohol and failure to wear a seat belt also played a role. Outside of the fatal accidents, there have been 17 other crashes where airbags didn't deploy. It's unclear if any of these crashes were caused by the engine shutting off.

Trans Am Depot teases 2014 GTO

Mon, 24 Jun 2013

Here comes the Judge. Court is in session. The verdict is in. How many more tired clichés can we come up with? It hardly seems to matter, because it's happening: Trans Am Depot has announced via the teaser video below that it is launching a 2014 GTO, complete with Carousel Red (bright orange, really) paint and full Judge badging.
The car is based on Trans Am Depot's 6T9 Goat, which, in case you don't get the reverential references, is meant to mimic the look of the 1969 Pontiac GTO. As with the company's other cars -including the 2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am we recently drove - the GTO will be based on the current Chevy Camaro, which means two doors, V8 engines and rear-wheel drive, just like the muscle cars of days past.
As for actual details of what's under the 2014 GTO's hood, we're completely left hanging. We'd expect some sort of power adder (turbo, supercharger or possibly some other form of a highly massaged version of the Camaro's V8), and we certainly know that GM has any number of hi-po crate engines to choose from.
