I guarantee this is one of  the nicest, most well maintained 99 Pontiac Montanas you will find anywhere!
You need to drive this van and look at it to truely appreciate how nice it runs, drives and looks inside and out!
Call me to test drive it, have a mechanic look at it or simply come over and admire it or ask me any questions you might have.
I am currently not working so call me at any time between 8am to 10pm  I'm always home except for Mondays I'm at the Dr's.

The History/ownership of the van: NO KIDS to ruin this van.  An elderly couple owned the van first, it's super clean inside and out and was serviced regularly.
I bought the van from them to help them pay their Nursing home bills at the home where I worked in Oswego.
A month after I got the title for the van and after putting  a ton of money into it to get it in perfect working order for this winter I had a siezure at work  and
was diagnosed with a siezure disorder,  I have had my license revoked and can no longer drive, band my wife just got s new truck. So my loss will be your gain.
Come drive this van you won't believe how nice it is!!!!!!!!

The Bad:
AM/FM stereo works fine, but the backlight needs replaced, or just replace the stereo with something up to date like a CD Player or mp3 player. There is some exterior body rust as with most older upstate NY vehicles,  please see the running boards in the pictures as they have been repaired and painted in some area, again see pictures or come look at it and drive it while you're here, but the repairs are barely noticable even in person, the rust is clearly visible in the pictures.  The rust does not affect the body frame only sub frame(body panels) or it wouldn't have passed inspection.
Totally reconditioned to like new condition with lots of maintenance done to get it ready for this winter.  I used to drive 45 minutes each way to Oswego every day and needed a reliable vehicle to get me there every day snow or not(see below for the entire list of newly serviced parts and maintenance done since I got the title last November 2012 when I had the first siezure.)
Newly Inspected until October 2014!!!!!

Invoices for the work will be provided with the title, bill of sale and all other paperwork I have for the vehicle upon completing the purchase.

KBB Value : $3,083.00 for Good condition, although I believe it to be considered Very Good, but not excellent as it does have a few minor cosmetic issues
and a cassette player with no backlight, but with all the work that's been done and the new tires(49,000 miles remaining at the very least),
new battery, other parts, maintenance,  etc which lists at $3,158.00. Although I have way more money into it than either of these figures
see below for the rundown of the maintenance done and the cost... I have the receipts for all the parts and labor done since I got the title, and will supply
them upon purchase Any way you look at it you're over the KBB value by $750.00 right from the beginning, because I wanted everything to be perfect
for my winter driving since I spent 1 1/2 hours in my vehicle at least every day and was required to be at work every day even in a blizzard,
because Nursing homes run 24/7/365, but again you really need to drive and see the van to appreciate how nice it really is and and don't just read about it.
So call to schedule a time to stop by, drive it and kick the brand new tires!
Call Shawn 315-456-8694 anytime 8 AM to 10PM or stop by to look at it at 102 Westfall Drive (across from Wegmans on Genesee St. in Fairmont)

Watch as Hot Rod goes from El Paso to LA the hard way

Tue, 21 Feb 2012

There are few things simultaneously more romantic and idiotic than taking a road trip in a beaten-down heap of a car. Trust us. We know. David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of Hot Rod Magazine fame recently undertook an epic trip from El Paso, Texas to Los Angeles with the express goal of doing so for under $1,500, including the purchase price of a vehicle, food, lodging, repairs and, most importantly, fuel. With this in mind, the duo settled on a 1972 Pontiac Catalina for a lofty $650. Hilarity ensues.
Realizing that no one actually wants a Catalina sulking around the shop, Freiburger and Finnegan put the car up for auction on eBay Motors the instant they had the title in hand. By the time they rolled into Hot Rod HQ, the vehicle sold for a little over $500.
The video is part of a new series called Roadkill that should document similar adventures. Keep your eyes peeled for more calamity-soaked clips in the near future. In the meantime, hit the jump to check it out yourself.

Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day

Thu, 07 Jun 2012

Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.

Lutz says GM was working on 5th-gen Pontiac GTO

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

Bob Lutz was one of the forces behind bringing the Holden Monaro to the United States, as the ill-fated Pontiac GTO in 2004. And while that car received critical acclaim, it was a sales disappointment. Now, Road & Track is reporting that our suspicions were correct - Pontiac was working on a two-door, G8-based coupe before it was shuttered.
In that R&T article, which is no longer available online, Lutz explained that the new GTO would solve many of the issues found in the original. Car Advice speculates that the new model would have look like a rebadged version of the Holden Coupe 60 Concept from 2008, a conclusion we also came to.
That car would have been a big departure from the 2004 to 2006 GTO. It has an extremely long hood and short rear deck, with an almost fastback roofline and a wide greenhouse with a tall beltline. The wheel arches were very pronounced, and the chin and rocker panel splitters gave it a race-ready look. Would it have been enough to make the GTO work in the US? We think it might of, but it looks like we'll never know.
