 Description:

1975 Pontiac TransAm with 22,200 original miles, matching numbers, unrestored car. I am the 4th owner of this great car, fully documented with clean NJ title showing mileage is actual. Car has PS/PB/working AC/Posi Rear/ optional custom interior, rare Sterling Silver with Oxblood interior, tinted windows, factory 8 track player (not currently connected), hood bird decal, pin striping by the original owner, and more. Car was in storage many years, it was recently re-commissioned for the road. Exhaust is new with Flowtech ceramic coated headers and Pypes 2 1/2" stainless steel dual exhaust. I have the original exhaust manifolds, along with other parts that were changed for cosmetic purposes. Current working radio is a Pontiac aftermarket AM/FM stereo with aux input, speakers are under the rear deck with new correct package tray. I also have the original radio.

Overall conditional is a s close to new as you probably can get for a 39 year old original car. Paint is very nice, showing minor aging. there is a small dent on the trunk lid and two small area's on the hood showing some paint aging. As this is an original unpainted car I would not touch either of these spots. Interior is like new, small imperfections that the camera can not pick up, seats are like new. Dash, console, rugs, headliner are all like new. Tires are new, car has correct space saver spare with jack and air bottle. Trunk is mint like new. Hood decal is near perfect. Engine bay and undercarriage are mainly untouched except for items that were replaced during the car's re-commissioning. Under hood mostly belts, hoses, and fluids were all changed. The original 350 transmission was rebuilt with a shift kit. Rear end was fully serviced along with all new shocks. Rear end gears were changed to 3:23 ratio two owners ago. Glass is all like new. Car runs and drives like a new car, tight and very fast with the rear gear change and true dual exhaust system.

Understand you are basically buying a time capsule here, this is probably 90-95% an original car, still has factory paint marks made during production. I in no way will warranty this vehicle, sold as in where is, you are free to come and inspect this car. I have manuals shown in pictures and will have PHS documentation paperwork very shortly. I have traced the history of this car back from day one, however I do not have the 1st owners name. My cell phone is 908-963-4854. Buyer is responsible for shipping. I can help arrange if needed. Cash and/or bank wire transfer are only acceptable payment methods.

TERMS: NO WARRANTY/NO RETURNS/SOLD WHERE IS AS IS, CAR RELEASED AFTER ALL FUNDS CLEAR, SHIPPING IS VIA BUYER. IF BUYER IS OUTSIDE OF USA, BUYER IS 100% RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL CUSTOMS FEE'S, TAXES, TRANSPORTATION FROM MY HOUSE, ETC. YOU ARE FREE TO INSPECT CAR WITH AN APPOINTMENT ONLY. $500 PAYPAL DEPOSIT REQUIRED, BALANCE IN CASH OR WIRE TRANSFER. ASK ALL QUESTIONS PRIOR TO BIDDING. THANKS FOR LOOKING AND BID TO WIN!

Howard Stern latest in Seinfeld's passenger seat for CiCGC

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

We'll be honest: the actual cars in Jerry Seinfeld's hit internet series, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, typically take a back seat to the celebrities in the front row. Seinfeld usually throws in a few lines about his classic wheels in the first minute or so, and then moves on to the important business of sprightly conversation and pithy one-liners. It's great.
This time around, with legendary motormouth Howard Stern riding shotgun, the 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge that might have been a co-star, gets forgotten about almost completely. Instead, Stern spends a tremendous amount of screen time extolling the virtues of his therapy sessions, attempts to dive into Seinfeld's prowess as a lover and generally makes a nuisance of himself. Pretty much to plan, then.
Scroll below to hear Howard accuse Jerry of acting like Jesus, just before declaring himself the greatest radio personality in the history of the business.

1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction

Mon, 01 Aug 2011

For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. You can check out the high-res gallery of its innards, including copper and chrome metalwork and white moldings and wheels, and get the exhaustive details on it after the jump.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
