VIN 2W87K9L201842 HISTORY: I can't tell you a thing other than it was owned by a man near Cincinnati, Ohio. TITLE: Clear title in hand with a VIN that matches, I am a mechanic, but I have dealers license to keep things legal, title will be transferred from me as a dealer. IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? The frame, the floors, the trunk all look good, no rust bubbles in the paint. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a classic car restorer, but when I find a vehicle I like and can sell for a fair market price, I buy it fix a few things and resell. PAINT: The paint has a brilliant shine, no dents, a couple of very minor dings that are hard to see, no rust bubbles in the paints. I don't know the color, but I like it, its a very metallic bronze color. 2 or 3 minor touched up chips, I consider the paint nice. CHROME: Not much chrome, but its good, the door handles outside look good. INTEROR: The interior has no bad smells, it is not new, but good with no real wear. UNSERSIDE: Nice, but not show deatailed and not covered up with thick under-coating. No rust issues that I see that will cause any problems. GLASS: The side windows roll up and down good, the windshield is clear with no chips or bulls eyes. SOUND SYSTEM: No radio in the car. DECALS are in e condition. The car was born with air conditioning, the outside stuff is long gone. ENGINE: The engine runs good, its a 6.6 V8, 400 cubic inch or that's what I was told by the last owner and it looks like one to me. It runs good, no knocks, no rattles and no blue smoke. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Nice sounding exhaust system, it has the Muscle car sound. New Flow Master mufflers and aluminized pipes. TRANSMISSION: Turbo 350 that has been rebuilt, this is a 3 speed automatic, it shifts good. REAR-END: 10 bolt with no whines or growls. BRAKES: Disc brakes on front, drums in the rear and power assisted. STEERING: The steering is good, the car is power steering. WHEELS AND TIRES : Past owner just spent $1,200 on new 18 inch Boss wheels and new tires. LIGHTS and wiring: The head lights work, the tail lights work the brake lights work and the turn signals work. THE GAS GAUGE WORKS! SPEEDMETER WORKS! horn not working! Wipers work! . GUAGES: The oil-temp-volts are in a pod in the console and work. HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? They open and close good. The hood is up a little on the back passengers side, I tried to adjust it, but had no luck. It a Trans Am thing, the hood are long and heavy with the shaker putting just a little pressure upward, all this causes it. TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just too hard! The rest of the information is boring unless you are really interested in buying the vehicle, its just buying details like shipping, paperwork, who I am, where the car is located and how to pay and contact information. CONTACT INFO: my cell telephone number is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com <<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I DO NOT SHOW CAR ON SUNDAY>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<< PAPERWORK: I know what to do! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the car “come look”. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my garage in WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of US OR EXPORT “I like Nations Auto Transport. They are located in Contact: Jim Page his office number is 816-295-6887 and his email is jpage@shipnat.com MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. I will take paypal for the deposit, but not for full payment. Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had a fake bank certified check. Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the transfer. And its safe for both of us. WILL I HOLD THE CAR UNTIL YOU GET HERE TO LOOK OR HAVE IT INSPECTED? Not without a $250 non-refundable deposit! I have held too many cars that people promise me they are going to buy and they never show up, their wife won’t let them buy it, they can’t get a loan or they just back out. Before you drive or fly a long distance you need to make sure the car is not sold. “The way I look at it is until you pay a deposit you’re just looking and dreaming”. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 66 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but some of them do not impress me at all, they can make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first! BOTTOM LINE: My firm price is $13,999 I'm asking more on the local market. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down. Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com I am very careful about taking payment, I have had a fake certified check, it looked real and the buyer seemed real. I will take one, but I will check you out. I am ebay varified, that means you can buy ebays buyer protection plan and they will guarantee thats I'm real, they will not guarantee the car. IS THERE A WARRANTY? No! Come inspect, judge and drive the vehicle all you want to because I do not offer a warranty on classic vehicles. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type, they are the way I see the vehicle. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected this vehicle and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to purchase based upon that judgment solely. This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied. The seller shall not be responsible for the correct description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein, and makes no warranty in connection therewith.

1969 Pontiac GTO Judge vs. 2006 GTO, which Goat gets your vote?
Mon, 08 Sep 2014The Pontiac GTO was perhaps the most iconic muscle car of the '60s and early '70s. With its beefy V8 and color palette screaming for attention, it summarized in a single vehicle everything that made the era so appealing to many young people. Pontiac tried to collect just a few drops of that aura again in the 2000s with a revived GTO, but with decidedly mixed results. The performance was still there with its big V8, but the looks never quite lived up to the powertrain. Now, Generation Gap wants to know which of these Goats is the one to own.
Things are skewed immediately because the 2006 GTO here is a real ringer. It comes from famous tuner Ken Lingenfelter's collection, and it's a one-off example partially fettled by GM Performance boasting a twin-turbocharged LS2 V8 with a claimed 750 horsepower and a wide-body kit. This Goat definitely isn't what you're going to find just browsing for one to buy in the newspaper. Still, dip the throttle just a little, and this GTO pulls like a freight train. It's enough to turn the two hosts into giggling schoolboys behind the wheel.
The '69 GTO Judge here is also out of Lingenfelter's collection, but this one is all stock with a 400-cubic-inch (6.6-liter) V8 and a Ram Air hood for a claimed 366 hp. It might not have the unbelievable power of the turbo '06, but it makes up for it with style to spare.
Tony Stewart to star in Smoke Is The Bandit web series
Mon, 10 Mar 2014NASCAR driver Tony Stewart is making good use of his nickname Smoke in new videos inspired by the 1970s classic Smokey and the Bandit. The original is one of the quintessential automotive movies of its era with a fantastic combination of slapstick comedy and great car stunts in a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. If you've never seen it, check it out immediately.
In the new six-part Smoke IS the Bandit web series, Stewart takes on the role of Burt Reynolds' famous character complete with huge mustache. But instead of trying to smuggle cases of Coors beer it's Mobil 1 oil. The series promises to recreate many of the famous scenes from the movie and includes cameos from other NASCAR drivers.
To complete the look, future videos just need a quality replacement for a young Sally Field to ride shotgun. It would also be really cool if Reynolds could make a brief appearance at some point. Scroll down to check out the trailer and the first episode in the series.
Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
