HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO PURCHASE ONE OF THE RARE SPECIAL EDITION BANDIT CARS. NO RUST EVER! LOW MILES.

THIS CAR HAS NO MILES ON IT SINCE THE HIGH DOLLAR RESTORATION WAS DONE. THE CAR WAS TAKEN APART, STRIPPED AND PAINTED IN PEICES. THE UNDERCARRAIGE PICTURES ARE COMING WHEN I GET IT TO MY BUDDYS HOIST. THE SUBFRAME AND SUSPENSION PARTS PARTS UNDER THERE ARE LIKE BRAND NEW NOW. NEW BUSHINGS AND BODY MOUNTS TOO. COME SEE FOR YOURSELF. IT WOULD BE A WORTH WHILE TRIP. LOOKS GREAT!

THE BODY NEVER HAD ANY RUST! THE PAINT WHICH IS A BASE COAT CLEAR COAT WAS SANDED FLAT AND RUBBED TO A MIRROR FINISH. IT LOOKS BETTER IN PERSON THAN THESE PICTURES. THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAS RESTORED CARS PROFESIONALLY FOR YEARS. THIS WAS HIS PERSONAL CAR AND HE HATED TO SELL IT BUT NEEDED THE MONEY. THE PANEL FIT IS EXCELLENT.

THE ORIGINAL MOTOR WAS ALSO COMPLETELY REBUILT. THE BLOCK WAS NOT BORED. THE NEW CAM SOUNDS GREAT AND THE MOTOR NOW HAS 350 HP. THERE ARE REALLY NO MILES ON IT SINCE COMPLETION. THE NEW OWNER WILL NEED TO CRUISE EASY FOR THE FIRST 500 MILES TO BREAK IT IN!

THE INTERIOR IS VERY NICE TOO. THE SEATS WERE RECOVERED, THE HEADLINER WAS REPLACED. THE CARPET IS NEW. THE DOOR PANELS ARE ORIGINAL AND NICE. THE DASH HAD A SMALL CRACK AND WAS REPAIRED. DOES NOT HAVE A DASH CAP. THE STEERING IS NEW TOO.

I HAVE  A VIDEO OF IT RUNNING I CAN E MAIL IF INTERESTED.

NOT MUCH ELSE TO SAY ABOUT A CAR LIKE THIS. COME SEE IT!

GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable

Fri, 21 Sep 2012

General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.

Trans Am Depot teases 2014 GTO

Mon, 24 Jun 2013

Here comes the Judge. Court is in session. The verdict is in. How many more tired clichés can we come up with? It hardly seems to matter, because it's happening: Trans Am Depot has announced via the teaser video below that it is launching a 2014 GTO, complete with Carousel Red (bright orange, really) paint and full Judge badging.
The car is based on Trans Am Depot's 6T9 Goat, which, in case you don't get the reverential references, is meant to mimic the look of the 1969 Pontiac GTO. As with the company's other cars -including the 2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am we recently drove - the GTO will be based on the current Chevy Camaro, which means two doors, V8 engines and rear-wheel drive, just like the muscle cars of days past.
As for actual details of what's under the 2014 GTO's hood, we're completely left hanging. We'd expect some sort of power adder (turbo, supercharger or possibly some other form of a highly massaged version of the Camaro's V8), and we certainly know that GM has any number of hi-po crate engines to choose from.

Watch as Hot Rod goes from El Paso to LA the hard way

Tue, 21 Feb 2012

There are few things simultaneously more romantic and idiotic than taking a road trip in a beaten-down heap of a car. Trust us. We know. David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of Hot Rod Magazine fame recently undertook an epic trip from El Paso, Texas to Los Angeles with the express goal of doing so for under $1,500, including the purchase price of a vehicle, food, lodging, repairs and, most importantly, fuel. With this in mind, the duo settled on a 1972 Pontiac Catalina for a lofty $650. Hilarity ensues.
Realizing that no one actually wants a Catalina sulking around the shop, Freiburger and Finnegan put the car up for auction on eBay Motors the instant they had the title in hand. By the time they rolled into Hot Rod HQ, the vehicle sold for a little over $500.
The video is part of a new series called Roadkill that should document similar adventures. Keep your eyes peeled for more calamity-soaked clips in the near future. In the meantime, hit the jump to check it out yourself.
