1982 Porsche 911 Sc Platinum Metallic on 2040-cars

Year:1982 Mileage:118590
Location:

Miami, Florida, United States

Miami, Florida, United States

This 1982 Porsche 911 SC is in great condition! I bought this car from a friend of the family which owned it since the year 2000, and sold it to me about a year and a half ago. This 911 has the RARE color combination of Platinum Metallic paint with a Burgundy/Brown interior package. Car has 118k actual miles with a clean title.

In the year 2000 the 911 had a Top end rebuild, as well as a new alternator, new clutch, new flywheel, Carrera tail, and new starter.
Everything on this car works, from the original radio to the power windows, sunroof, power mirrors, etc. Service receipts since the 80s as well as original manuals are included. Rebuild was done by Vertex Auto Porsche Shop in Miami, FL.

The A/C works great but it is not connected. I recently bought the A/C compressor but its not hooked up. Cabin fan works great and hoses are in great condition and dont leak, all it needs its to be connected/charged.

This vehicle was repainted by a previous owner but it is the Original Paint Color (Paint Code 655). Previous owner did some upgrades to the SC such as Carrera Tensioners, POPoff valve as well as a K&N air filter.

Just like any 30+ year car the car is not perfect. It has some details in the paint which are shown by picture in the web links below, also i have included 3 video links to show the car starting Cold and hot. Dash does have a crack.

Most importantly this car has no major RUST whatsoever. As far as i know this 911 has always been a FLORIDA car.

Porsche Cayenne spied unconstrained by camouflage

Thu, 05 Jun 2014

Meet the facelifted Porsche Cayenne. Our eagle-eyed spy shooters captured this example of Porsche's freshened SUV virtually devoid of camo, giving us our clearest look yet at what the eventual mid-cycle work will do to the strong-selling Cayenne.
The overall changes do, indeed, look minor, with a reprofiled intake being the most obvious item. The headlights are still covered, so we don't know what kind of jeweling has been done, but the shape does appear identical to the current model. Overall, the changes appear totally in line with a mid-cycle refresh.
As we explained previously, a plug-in Cayenne is on the way. It will join a crop of engines that is likely to be similar to what's on offer today, with naturally aspirated, turbocharged, hybrid and diesel variants released over time.

Porsche announces plan to replace 911 GT3 engines

Wed, 19 Mar 2014

About a month back, we reported that Porsche was suspending delivery of its 911 GT3 due to reported incidents of the engine bursting into flames. A few days later, Porsche told owners of the new track-ready models not to drive their cars and had their local dealers pick up the cars in question. Just a couple of days ago, we reported that Porsche was working on a fix, and now we have the official details.
Following an internal investigation prompted by two such incidents, Porsche has confirmed that is has identified the problem as resulting "from a loosened screw joint on the connecting rod." The loose connecting rod, Porsche found, damaged the crankcase, which in turn resulted in oil leaking and then - in at least two cases - igniting.
Our source is unaware of Porsche being contacted by GT3 owners concerned about the impact of a replacement engine on their car's collectibility or resale value.

Mercedes-AMG GT vs. Porsche 911 [w/poll]

Thu, 11 Sep 2014

Mercedes-Benz designed the AMG GT to compete head-on with the Porsche 911. It's a clear, singular purpose, and Benz brings a lot of money, technology and race-bred expertise to the fight.
The AMG GT is Merc's followup to the awesome SLS AMG, the retro-modern, gullwing-doored coupe that took us by storm half a decade ago. But this new GT coupe is a more focused sports car than the SLS, rather than an all out supercar capable of extreme performance. It's got a brand-new V8 engine, and state-of-the-art technology that help it to not only be a proper Mercedes, but to be a serious performer.
Mercedes will sell its new baby in two models. The GT S arrives first, in spring 2015, followed by the standard GT in mid-2016. Of course, there's room to grow from there. And while Porsche may have already expanded its 911 range to include a vast variety of models, here's how Stuttgart's icon stacks up against Affalterbach's bad boy.
