California car, great to restore, stored most of its life, see the photos

The 911 was bought in Whittier, California. The original rims and tires were stolen from the original owners

business and

replaced with the current rims thru his insurance. After a collision to the drivers side, the original owner

stored the 911

in his garage. My father purchased the car in the early 90's from the owner's son after at least 10 years of

storage.

The pan under the front of the car

is missing and we never acquired it from the original owner. We have everything else, if you don't see, ask, its

stored in

the garage.  It was stored in california until we shipped the porsche to its

current location in 1996.  The driver side door was replaced. Most of the work we have

done on the porsche was in the late 90s.  The upholstery was redone, the car was

repainted, and the pistons, rings, and carburetors were replaced by a Porsche specialist in FL

with authentic porsche parts and weber carbs.

We have not driven the 911 in at least 5 years, mostly started it every 6 months, but not driven.

Car's history was requested in 1998, see photos.

All the original solex carbs and engine parts are included. All of the extra parts we

have, are also included.

We have only put about 200 miles on the car, mostly driving around the

neighborhood and to the dmv office

located in florida

At the right price, we will let it go and let someone else
enjoy this RARE Vintage Find.

Porsche Museum highlights history of the 911 RSR

Sat, 12 Jan 2013

Porsche has amassed quite an impressive trophy case in just about every racing series it has ever entered, and one of its most dominant machines has to be the 911 RSR from the 1970s. Taking part in various GT-class competitions, the 911 RSR managed to take home three international and seven German victories in 1973, its very first year of competition.
Not one to downplay its racing successes, Porsche has released an informative video detailing the 911 RSR's impressive heritage. The 1973 RSR model owned by the Porsche Museum is detailed beautifully on video, and we have to say it looks absolutely stunning in its vintage Martini Racing livery.
Have a look at the video below for some historic racing action, along with static shots of one of our favorite Porsche models ever created.

Porsche goes karting in its Cayman GTS

Sun, 03 Aug 2014

Think Mini is the king of Go-Kart Handling[TM]? Well, you might be mistaken, as Porsche proves here it's fully capable of delivering a driving experience that'd fit in quite nicely on a go-kart track.
Using a new and very red Cayman GTS, the Stuttgart-based manufacturer invades a kart track in northern Italy and sets the mid-engined sports car loose to slip, slide and zip its way around the circuit. As far as videos for Sunday evening go, this one ticks all the boxes.
Take a look.

LaFerrari, McLaren P1, Porsche 918 and Agera R take to Assen

Tue, 10 Jun 2014

It's the show-down (sort of) we've all been waiting for. The battle of the hybrid hypercars from the performance powerhouses of Europe: Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder. No one publication has managed to get their hands on all three just yet, but this video has - and with a Koenigsegg Agera R thrown in for good measure.
The video was shot by our (unrelated) Dutch compatriots at Autoblog.nl at the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands. The track has played host to Champ Cars and all manner of racing bikes, but this could be the ultimate grid of actual production machinery that's ever lined up behind its start/finish line. Shame the weather was rainy and this unsurpassed array of supercars weren't really racing - more showing off for the crowds. But what a show it was. Scope out the footage in the video below.
