1984 Porsche 944 Base Coupe 2-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Woodridge, Illinois, United States
This car is well cared for, it is not perfect but in pretty good shape for 30 years old. I had it repainted about a year ago. The tires Goodyear Assurance with about 5k on them. The timing belt was done about 4k miles ago. New Pioneer stereo w/remote and iPod hookup. Saratoga glass sunroof, have the factory sunroof as well. There is a small crack at the base of the windshield that has been like that since I bought the car, the guy told me be careful when replacing the windshield wiper blades as the arms can snap back and crack the windshield like what had in this case. Anyway, it has been like that now for a couple a years and I haven't seen the need to replace it.happen to him. You can kind of see the crack in the picture that shows the interior looking in from the drivers side (look at the base of the drive side wiper blade). The car also needs a headliner that I never got around to doing. There has been other stuff that I have done to the car, but I think this pretty much explains the condition of the car. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere, it is a fun car and very reliable. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me Matt (704) 798-2684 On Mar-16-14 at 14:38:46 PDT, seller added the following information: Ok, trying this one more time... It appears that I cannot change the original description, so I copied and pasted and ended up with a duplication... Anyway, what I wanted to say was I gave the wrong phone number it is (704) 796-2684 One additional thing, for some reason it has the vehicle listed as Woodridge, IL (haven't lived there in a decade) THE CAR IS LOCATED IN WISTON-SALEM, NORTH CAROLINA, just wanted you to know... |

Are you the Porsche Pajun?
Mon, 17 Nov 2014The prospect of Porsche building a smaller version of the Panamera has been an on-again, off-again proposition as the German automaker seems to go back and forth on the project. Last we heard, Porsche had pushed back the so-called Pajun (shorthand for Panamera Junior) until 2019 at the earliest, but we could be looking at it right here.
The automaker's everything-but-automotive division Porsche Design is working on a luxury condo complex called (simply enough) Porsche Design Tower. It's been three years in the making and will take at least another year or two to complete, but the gist of it is that the 57-floor building will include 132 apartments, each with its own en-suite garage in which the residents' cars will be parked thanks to giant elevators.
Porsche Design released a series of renderings showing what the property will look like once complete. Most of the renderings feature Porsches, of course - production models you can find in any of the brand's showrooms, like the one just 23 miles away in Coral Gables. But one of the renderings of the giant glass elevators shows something rather unusual.
Petrolicious details why the Porsche 911 is something special
Thu, 26 Sep 2013The Porsche 911 is a special car, if for no other reasons than it's been continuously produced since 1964, with nearly every generation regarded as being at or near the top of its class. But why the rear-engined icon has done so well among enthusiasts and regular drivers alike can't always be explained easily. To truly understand the 911, you have to experience the whole package, and that means driving one.
While just about every publication has raved about the Porsche, commercial director, race driver, photographer and 911 owner Jeff Zwart explains to Petrolicious why he was drawn to the legend as a young child, and why he still loves them today.
Zwart's professional and personal life are inextricably linked to the 911, and hearing him talk about the car and its history makes for fascinating viewing. Watch the video below to hear Zwart's story and see him drive a couple examples from his collection: an early 911 and the 964-generation Carrera 4 he won Pikes Peak with for the first time - a car that happens to be equipped with the 959 Paris-Dakar's fascinating torque-split transmission. Enjoy!
Porsche 918 Spyder debuts with new N"urburgring lap record [w/video]
Tue, 10 Sep 2013It's been a long time in the making, but Porsche has finally revealed the final production version of its long-awaited 918 Spyder here at the Frankfurt Motor Show. And yet that's not even the big news surrounding the hybrid hypercar.
No, the big news is that, while Porsche was preparing taking the wraps off the car here in Frankfurt, elsewhere in Germany a team was setting a blistering lap time at the Nürburgring. And not just any blistering lap time, but a new world record.
Porsche claims that, on the morning of September 4, a team of three drivers (including former rally champ Walter Röhrl and Porsche test drivers Timo Kluck and Marc Lieb) broke the Nordschleife lap record, Lieb finally setting the best time at 6:57 at an average of 111 miles per hour.
