2.5L NA 5 speed!!! Needs some TLC! Comes as seen with four 924 15x7 phone dials. I bought it with the hopes of putting up a sister car to our 924S LEMONS RACER but I just do not have enough time. I bought it, and put a battery charger on it and it started with a shot a either. It idled a bit rough, but it seems like it just needs some good gas and maybe a tune up. That is all that I have done besides put 4 wheels that hold air on it. It was a guys daily driver and he took it apart to charge some dash switches, and he died suddenly of a heart attack before finishing putting it back together. The dash gauge cluster is not there so I do not know how many miles are on the car. It sat for over a year before me and I have had it about 10 months. I have parted out a few 924/944 and there is plenty of parts to see off this car to get well below $500, probably closer to ZERO $$$. Porsche people are nuts for parts off of ebay. Just the switches, door panels, seats and ac/blower is $100's+... The window sticker is in the
glove compartment. $25,XXX new in 1986! Receipt for new clutch
assembly also in there with some fluid changes and stuff. I have a CT clean
title from the place I bought it and a key for it. The Correct VIN is: WP0AA0945GN452501 The paint is so bad it looks cool, like a real patina rat rod looking flat black all checkered. Rolls fine, but I would go through it before trying to start or drive it. I will help push the car onto a trailer. Located in Shelton, CT I will take more pictures upon request. I have the car listed locally and will end the auction without notice if it sells. On Sep-22-13 at 16:06:44 PDT, seller added the following information:

Porsche 911 GT3 RS facing delay over GT3 fire problems?
Mon, 24 Mar 2014Porsche has never been afraid to introduce variants of its cars. However, its even higher spec, next-generation 911 GT3 RS may be delayed from its planned launch this summer while the engines in the standard GT3s (pictured above) are replaced.
A delay isn't certain, but executives want to make sure the high-strung mill is no longer a problem before they press forward with another model using it. Germany's Auto Motor und Sport asked Porsche CEO Matthias Müller about pushing back the launch, and he responded that it was too early to say. The company's current focus is making sure the engines get fixed and working on internal measures to prevent this kind of flaw in the future.
When fires claimed two 911 GT3s in Europe, Porsche initially stopped the model's sales and asked owners to stop driving them. It finally diagnosed the blazes as being caused by a loose screw on a connecting rod, which then resulted in crankcase damage and an oil leak. The company is replacing the engines on all 785 affected cars. A source told Autoblog that under 200 customers were actually affected, and the other cars were either at port or dealer lots. Hopefully, the recall doesn't postpone the road-going GT3 RS too far because we want to see what Porsche has up its sleeve.
Daughter has great taste, gives stepdad Porsche 914 of his youth
Mon, 14 Jul 2014Children require a ton of sacrifices; even people without kids know that. Whether it's the time to watch a baseball game or the money just to get there, parents have to give up something for the betterment of their offspring. Of course, once a child grows up, it's finally possible to repay mom and dad for all of their hard work. In the case of Kristin Russell and her stepdad, Dave, that involves a surprise 1973 Porsche 914.
Before he got married, Dave had a sweet, white 914. He even had the money saved up to restore it, but spent the cash on the wedding instead. The Porsche languished in the garage until Dave eventually parted it out and sold it off. Years later, Russell wanted to do something to thank her stepdad for all of the things he had done for her and her mom. The only fitting thank you was an identical 914 to the one that he gave up. Scroll down to watch Dave's reaction of getting his dream car as a surprise Father's Day gift.
eBay Find of the Day: 1981 Porsche 928 convertible by Carelli
Wed, 30 Apr 2014The Porsche 928 was perhaps the consummate European GT of its day. With a powerful front-mounted V8 engine that grew in displacement as the model years went on, it was capable of eating up the miles at triple-digit speeds in great comfort for occupants. It was also an unusual beauty, with its sharp front and curved rear featuring innovative integrated bumpers.
Currently for auction on eBay Motors is one of the rarest 928s you're likely to find, in a handsome combination of Guards Red paint and tan leather interior, though we wouldn't mind a less-showy finish to the factory wheels. According to the seller, this car is one of eight 928 convertibles by Carelli Design, a firm that's still in business.
The auction claims that these cars were made in 1981 as a feasibility study between Carelli and Porsche for a possible production 928 convertible. The seller says he worked at the dealership where the car is said to have been originally sold $103,000. To remove the roof and hide the convertible top, there were significant changes made to the body and interior, including redesigned doors and a completely new trunk. As you can see in the gallery, when down, the top is completely hidden in a very factory-like fashion. When up, it looks slightly awkward, though (and we'd really like to see a rear three-quarter view to check out the blind spots).
