1972 Triumph TR6 Restoration Project Car
Burgundy and Tan Non Overdrive Mileage: 85, 178 Manufacture Date: June 1972 Chassis #: CC83143 Paint code: 17 Trim code: 33 We are offering this car for one of our customers. It has been kept inside but has not been driven in years. The paint is nice, probably around 10 years old, shows its age but polishes up well. This car will need a full mechanical restoration. The following areas will need serious attention: fuel system, cooling system, brakes, and clutch hydraulics. The engine does run, we fired it up for about 30 seconds, it ran smooth and quiet with good oil pressure. The frame is solid and straight except for a few areas along the trailing arm mounts. We will provide photos if you'd like to see this. For the most part this car is in unrestored original condition, except for the paint. It appears to be complete and missing very few things, if any. The body has very little rust, if any. Photos of the undercarriage will be available. The interior needs a full cosmetic workover, the seats are in good shape. The car will need a new top. You can call me (Mark) at 410-420-1202 with any questions. We are located in Harford County, Maryland, close to both Baltimore and the PA line. |

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
