Selling this pristine low mileage Vanagon Westfalia in immaculate condition. Never smoked in. Very clean interior with no rips or tears. Exterior just got paint due to fading clear coat. I have pics of how nice this van was before paint. Never in an accident! Was owned by a Boeing Engineer previously who was meticulous in the maintenance and care of this Westy. I have a stack of records an inch thick which will be conveyed to the new owner. Engine completely and professionally rebuilt recently. Transmission rebuilt at same time by premier transmission rebuilder who specialized in Vanagons. (best builder in this state!) This Van does not have many options like A/C, cruise or power windows, but does have Power and Heated side Mirrors. I would drive this van anywhere with TOTAL confidence. No seam rust issues. It has been in the Pacific Northwest its entire life. Very difficult to find a Wesfalia in this condition with documented low miles. I will include an auto check report with the sale. Europeans get first crack at new Golf Variant wagon
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Just last week, when we brought you news of a new Volkswagen Golf variant out and testing in Europe, we had no idea we were being so literal with out description. For it seems that VW has every intention of calling its new Golf wagon, making its Geneva debut, the "Golf Variant."
Odd/interesting sobriquets taken as read then, there's a lot to like about this new small wagon from VW. The Variant will shed some 232 pounds in this generation, and will come to market with two efficient TDI engines. Volkswagen isn't giving us displacement figures for either yet, but we're told the diesels will come with outputs of 110 and 150 horsepower. The 110-hp TDI BlueMotion Varient will be good for a whopping 71.3 miles per gallon on the European cycle, when mated to the six-speed manual transmission.
The German automaker has brought along an all-wheel-drive 4Motion version of the Gold Variant to bow in Geneva, as well, and a natural gas-burning TGI BlueMotion is said to be "in the pipeline."
Volkswagen Passat gets Wolfsburg Edition, priced from $23,495*
Tue, 23 Apr 2013Volkswagen has just announced a new Passat Wolfsburg Edition, which slots between the base S and mid-grade SE trims in terms of content and price. The automaker has not released any official photos of the car as of this writing (aside from the badge shot you see here, of course), but the Wolfsburg Passat will be visually set apart from the rest by a unique set of 16-inch alloy wheels.
The big host of upgrades for the Wolfsburg Edition are found inside, where buyers will enjoy standard amenities like leatherette seats (with bun-warmers on the front chairs), a power driver's seat, satellite radio and a media interface with iPod connectivity. Of course, this comes on top of the already standard Passat features like Bluetooth and auto on/off headlamps. The Wolfsburg Passat will only be available with the 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine and a six-speed automatic transmission.

Skoda unveils Volkswagen Up!-based Citigo
Tue, 27 Sep 2011This is the all-new Skoda Citigo, and if you're thinking that it looks rather familiar, that's because its Volkswagen-badged kin recently debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. That's right, the long-rumored Skoda version of Volkswagen's new Up! city car has finally arrived.
Buyers will have a choice of two 1.0-liter three-cylinder engines - one with 59 horsepower, the other with a 74 hp and a blistering 106 mph top speed - both mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Powerful they are not, but these three-bangers should prove to be extremely efficient, with Skoda quoting fuel economy numbers of 62.8 and 60.1 miles per gallon, respectively (on the European cycle).
Being a Skoda, the Citigo will go on sale in its home market of the Czech Republic this fall, with the rest of Europe getting the car next summer. Follow the jump for Skoda's official release.
