Reluctlantly offered here is my personal 2003 VW EuroVan Camper.

I purchased this one owner EuroVan Camper late last fall and had it trucked from Florida, where it had been purchased and garaged since new. Although I purchased this vehicle with the intention of keeping it for a long time, due to unfortunate circumstances with regard to the health of an immediate family member, we haven't been able to use the EuroVan Camper and we're uncertain as to when this situation might change. Right now the vehicle is stored in my garage under a car cover, which is too bad because it's a well designed and lovely camper van and someone really should be enjoying it.

The previous owners were an elderly couple who used it primarily as a travel vehicle rather than as an everyday car or to camp in. This EuroVan Camper has been garaged since new and the overall condition clearly reflects that. Being a Florida vehicle, it has zero rust and it has never been exposed to harsh Winter conditions or road salt. This EuroVan is in excellent condition inside and out and all the vehicle and camper equipment fuction properly. Upon delivery here in New Hampshire, I had the EuroVan checked completely by the local VW dealer and the the only repair issue found was a faulty gear range switch which was replaced and the only service suggested was brake fluid replacement which was also done. This vehicle has an extensive and verifyible VW dealer service history going back to new and those records will of course be included with the car. Everything that has needed to be done has been done, from filters to spark plugs and the engine oil and filter were just changed. The tires are nearly new and both the vehicle and coach batteries recently replaced. This vehicle is completely road ready for a cross country journey if desired and any buyer who shows up here to collect the van that is not happy can cancel the deal and have all their money back.

Prior to its purchase, I had searched for a low mileage EuroVan Camper for some time. The 2003 models were the last and best year for the EuroVan and if you're going to buy one, you may as well get a 2003. Expensive when new, not a lot of EuroVan Campers were sold and they have become something of a cult vehicle in addition to already a collectors item and nice ones like this are nearly impossible to find.

Not shown but included in the sale is the middle seat which increases the vans passenger capacity by two for a total of six passengers. Included also are two sets of keys with remotes, the owners manual, sales brochure, original Winnebago window sticker, the factory supplied looseleaf binder containing information on various installed camper equipment, a vhs tape about vehicle features and as well as the previously mentioned service record.

I'm selling the EuroVan Camper "as-is" and although there are extended vehicle warranties available for a reasonable price should the new owner desire to purchase that piece of mind, I didn't because EuroVans are well designed and have proven reliable. Also, should you want to have the vehicle shipped, that would be your responsibility, although I would be happy to work with your shipper.

I paid a lot for this Eurovan Camper because it was the best available I could find. These are wonderful vehicles and if you can find a better one anywhere, BUY IT!

Audi rumored to buy Alfa Romeo, officials deny it

Thu, 28 Mar 2013

For more than two years, Volkswagen has been making public statements about its willingness to buy Alfa Romeo and quadruple the Italian brand's sales, and for just as long, Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne has replied with some version of "Mr. Piëch, drop it." According to a report in Ward's Auto, all that jousting might be over: it claims that sources close to both Marchionne and Audi CEO Rupert Stadler admit that the two are in talks for Audi to buy not just Alfa Romeo, but a production plant in Italy. In fact, a final deal could possibly include partsmaker Magnetti Marelli.
Against that backdrop, a report by German news weekly Stern quotes a Fiat spokesmen as saying it doesn't comment on rumors and an Audi rep has said flatly that "There is no substance in the news." If a sale is being arranged, the timing would seem to point to how eager Fiat is to raise cash to complete its major initiatives. Even though Alfa Romeo continues to delay its return to the US, it just showed off the production version of the 4C at the Geneva Motor Show (shown above) and said that preferred Fiat dealerships here would get them. Then there's Alfa's recently concluded deal with Mazda to develop a roadster based on the next generation MX-5 Miata - a deal that would seem to help both the Italian and Japanese brands.
The monetary issues are troublesome, though. Fiat is taking a beating in the European market and its weak-kneed balance sheet is delaying gotta-have-it products like the Jeep Cherokee. Fiat has been talking to banks about getting money to buy the rest of Chrysler and those financial institutions have also raised issues about debt and cash reserves, and the nasty game of chess Fiat is playing with the United Auto Workers (and now the court system about the portion of Chrysler it doesn't own) could end up blowing another hole in Marchionne's plans. It is possible that this could finally have convinced Fiat to at least see how serious Audi's parent company, Volkswagen, is about buying Alfa Romeo. Or it could be just another rumor.

Skoda Octavia vRS is just the thing for your pumped-up neighborhood

Fri, 26 Jul 2013

Skoda, oh Skoda. You're just so cool. Maybe it's the fact that it's a brand that we don't get in these United States, but Skoda's rebadged Volkswagens, in particular the new Octavia vRS shown here, are just different enough from the hum-drum VWs on our shores that the Czech brand seems strangely desirable. Maybe we're just craving forbidden fruit.
This short, minute-long spot covers the new vRS in a world of excess, where strollers ride on 26-inch wheels, lawnmowers feature V8 engines and ice cream cones are the size of toddlers. As things often go in these ads, the Octavia vRS draws the eyes of passerby that are seemingly use to things far more ridiculous than a reasonably priced Czech sedan. In reality, the Octavia should be fairly familiar to American buyers. It uses the same 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-pot found in the Volkswagen GTI and Jetta GLI, with 217 horsepower, and sits on the same platform as the Audi A3 and Volkswagen Golf. Take a look at the full spot, below.

VW promises 7-seat CUV for America in 2016

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

On the eve of the Detroit Auto Show, Volkswagen chief executive Martin Winterkorn has confirmed the imminent arrival of a new crossover. The model, previewed at the same show last year by the CrossBlue concept pictured here, will be unique to the North American market when it arrives here in 2016. The new three-row, seven-seat crossover is part of an ambitious expansion plan on the part of Volkswagen and Audi in North America, where the two brands aim to sell a million vehicles by 2018.
That's a mighty big increase over the 600,000 vehicles which the Volkswagen Group sold here last year, but it's moving in the right direction: That number is already a 100-percent increase of what it sold here just five years ago. At that rate, VW should have little trouble meeting its goals, particularly with the arrival of the new crossover and the introduction of Golf production at its assembly plant in Puebla, Mexico. Read the full statement below for more.
