I can describe this car with 1 word: FLAWLESS!

You don't know me, but if you did, you would know what I mean when I say flawless. I am the pickiest person in the world and absolutely anal about my stuff, keeping everything as it was when it rolled off the dealer floor. In this case, I picked this car out from several others from 7 different dealers because even brand new cars can have flaws, and I did find a few that already had little dings, scratches, you name it right at the DEALER!

After going over it with a magnifying glass at the dealer, I choose this one and drove it home with 40 miles on the OD.

1st thing I did was put large black cotton towels over all the seats & I detailed & waxed the NEW car with Klasse new car wax the day after I drove it home.

GARAGED
Not just Garaged, I almost never took this car out in the daytime because I didn't want it in the SUN. I NEVER Parked it straight in a parking lot ever. Too many stupid people to ding it, NO WAY, I would park this car at the end of the parking lot far away were lazy people would never tread and even then I would park at an angle so no IDIOT would park next to it.

When I say FLAWLESS, I mean FLAWLESS, you can go over the entire car top to bottom, inside, outside, under the hood, under the car, it's FLAWLESS.

If this car were parked right next to 2014 VW at the new dealer lot and everybody would think it's a brand new 2013 leftover with 0 miles.

In 3 years I've only put 5000 break-in miles on it, the car is not even broken in yet.

I HATE low stiff riding cars so the first thing I did when it had 45 miles on it is I sold the stock 225X45X17 hard stiff riding wheels & put $1200.0 NEW Alloy wheels and softer riding 195X65X15 Wheels on it. The ride is considerably better, steering is considerably smoother and lighter, and MPG went up about 2MPG.

I have a lot more pictures, email me if your interested in this car.

I'm in Financial trouble, so I'm listing 2 of my TDI's & need to sell one of them.

Tanner Foust checks out his new VW Beetle GRC rally car

Thu, 11 Sep 2014

Racing driver and Top Gear USA host Tanner Foust is a very busy guy. After all, he's competing in rounds of both Global Rallycross series and FIA World Rallycross Championship, not to mention his TV duties. However, we probably shouldn't feel too sorry for him, because his job puts him behind the wheel of some truly crazy machinery.
Case in point is his latest ride in Global Rallycross - the Volkswagen Beetle GRC. The German company claims that this all-wheel drive Bug makes around 540 horsepower from its 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and can shoot to 60 in under 2 seconds. Plus, if this video is any indication, this Volkswagen sounds like a machine gun when throwing revs at idle, and it can do some wonderfully easy four-wheel drifts.
Previously, Foust was driving a VW Polo for Andretti Autosport in GRC, but the team unveiled the look of the Beetle GRC at the Chicago Auto Show. Now, Foust is finally getting to show off his new office to the public, and like VW's tagline for the new car claims, it's way hotter than Herbie.

VW exec calls US ops a 'disaster'

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

Today in the Tell Us How You Really Feel file we have Bernd Osterloh, head of Volkswagen AG's Group Works Councils and member of the company's supervisory board, labeling the company's US operations "a disaster." Why? Because Osterloh believes VW of America doesn't have the models it needs to be competitive here, hasn't been decisive enough about its plans and German higher-ups still don't understand the US market.
In truth, the top labor rep at the German conglomerate is echoing sentiments we've heard from VWoA executives for years, and there's been the same commentary from dealers: Germany doesn't pay enough attention to what the US market really wants. Even ex-VWoA CEO Stefan Jacoby, who preceded the recently departed Jonathan Browning, said early in his tenure that one of his tasks was to get his German bosses to start delivering what the US market demanded. New CEO Michael Horn is saying much the same thing seven years later, telling Sky News that it has to increase "the speed at which we bring new models to the market and innovation to the market."
Osterloh wants to get "more models" here, including a pickup truck, but we'd wonder if the economics have changed from when Jacoby said they'd need to sell 100,000 per year to make money. Osterloh also wants a decision on where the CrossBlue will be built. Although it looked as if the Chatanooga, TN plant would get the call, the Puebla, Mexico plant is still in the running because of lower operating costs. No matter what happens right now, Osterloh thinks the situation won't get better for another two years when revamped models arrive, but at least the company can start taking the steps for a better US future.
