I could find no tire chains in Merced and Atwater, CA, as I was coming into Yosemite during a raging snow storm. I phoned Tim at Mariposa Napa who assured me they had plenty in my size, and would rent them or sell them to me at a nominal fee. I ultimately didn`t need the chains (AWD with good tires) so I returned them for a refund. To my chagrin, I had lost the receipt. No matter. Tim (who was trying to leave the sto... view morere after closing as I rushed up) took them back and simply asked me to get my basic credit card info to him (date of purchase, amount, reference number) and he would see to it that I got credit. Very pleasant experience. Tim, next time I will buy something and actually keep it!
