This car is completely rust free and has been garage kept, smoker free the entire time I owned it (and all previous owners from what I gathered). There is absolutely no rust on this car and only shows minor wear with typical rock chips, bumper scuffs, minuscule dings and lightly worn leather. This car has all original body panels and has never been wrecked. I had the front bumper replaced and painted with OEM parts due to hairline cracks from a BMW dealership with all the records proving it. I have some maintenance records going back to 2010 for routine maintenance. I had the valve cover gasket leak as the only issue with the car the entire time I owned it, which I has since replaced. Everything works mechanically on the car; a/c blows cold, brakes are strong and firm, clutch engages, heated seats, motor is strong and torquey, sun roof, great tread on tires, suspension is tight with no squeaks or rattles, seat motors etc. I am a huge BMW enthusiast who have owned multiple BMWs before and took great pride in owning this vehicle. It is a rush to drive with the insane amount of torque this engine has. I constantly get compliments on this car wherever I go. BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coup'e concept echoes 8 Series
Tue, 14 May 2013BMW and Pininfarina are planning to debut a new concept at the 2013 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. The Gran Lusso Coupé is designed to be the next logical step forward from the Zagato Coupé, and the one-off creation boasts plenty of BMW earmarks to set the car off as a true member of the German automaker's family. With a long wheel base and a stretched nose, the two door can't help but channel the long-dead BMW 8 Series, and the potent V12 under the hood only reinforces the link.
BMW has been kind enough to slip the world a few teasers, and the images show what looks like it could be the low-slung grand tourer of our dreams. Check out the full press release below for more information, and stay tuned for the full unveiling.
BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe caught without cladding
Wed, 04 Sep 2013Like it or not, the majority of BMW 3 Series variants are on their way out, and the 4 Series models are hotly embroiled in the testing needed to replace them. We've now driven the basic 4 Series, seen spy photographs of the 4 Series Convertible and both versions of the M4 and today we get a better-than-ever look at the 4 Series Gran Coupe.
And, mostly dependent on your personal disposition towards four-dour coupes, that look should be a pleasant thing. The long, swooping Gran Coupe may be roughly similar in size to the related 3 Series GT, but it has been sculpted with beauty in mind rather than crossover function. We expect that those details still hidden by the body cladding here, mostly front and rear, can be filled in by simply remembering what the standard 4 Series looks like and squinting your eyes a bit. Subtlety is thy name, BMW variants.
As for the mechanicals, well, we expect to have the very same greasy bits under the hood and beneath the car that are found in the 4 Series lineup, too.
BMW M235i Racing restores our faith in 'M'
Wed, 20 Nov 2013Based on the upcoming BMW 2 Series and aimed at amateur and semi-professional racers, the 2014 BMW M235i Racing is a stripped-down, race-spec coupe ready to take on the Nürburgring in the VLN Endurance Championship race series against cars from Audi, Porsche and Toyota.
Obvious in the image above (click to enlarge), BMW has given the M235i Racing the wide-body treatment with a track that has been stretched by 3.5 inches. Under the hood, the 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder receives a power boost from a stock 322 horsepower up slightly to 333 hp, while other modifications include a full FIA roll cage, a racing fuel tank and a limited slip rear differential.
The M235i Racing replaces the M3 GT4 as BMW's factory racer, and it will be priced at 59,500 euros (close to $80,000), which is about as affordable as a factory-prepped racecar can get. The full press release is posted below, but we can't wait to see this car in action next year.
