1969 c-10. This truck came out of a private collection where it has been for 21 years. It has a 400 engine with a 350 auto transmission. It has power steering with manual drum brakes. It also has a new dual master cylinder, new brake lines and wheel cylinders. It runs, drives, and stops good. The 400 is a stock early 70s small block with a new edelbrock carb, and a holley aluminum intake. I don't know when it was built or rebuilt but it runs and performs fine. The truck has a beautiful bright red paint job with very few imperfections, nice shine cleans up very nice. It has a spray in liner over a nice bed. It has a new windshield with new rubber, all new door rubbers and window felt. The front bumper is new and the grille is the original. It has a nice shine with minimal scratches. I would say it is a 7 on a 1to10. All chrome and trim is in nice shape. It is good driver quality. The bottom of the truck was cleaned and painted when it was restored but some of the paint is coming off underneath as you can see in the photos. There is solid metal under the paint, it just didn't stick very well. It is a true solid southern truck. This truck is an excellent truck to take to cruise ins or car shows but is not a trailer queen. It has a nice red interior, new seat cover, new door panels, new dash pad, new carpet, new visors, and a new glove box. The red on red suits the truck good. It has a set of mid 80s chevy rally wheels and goodyear tires. The wheels are 15x8 and the tires are 225/75/15. feel free to call with questions or for any other photo requests. David 678-283-5891 I have a very reasonable reserve on this truck, ONLY bid if you want to buy. |

GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it
Wed, 06 Nov 2013We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.
Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
